Well I had my surgery last Thursday. Met 3 others that had the lap band and one who had the sleeve after a lap band removal. It went great. I cannot believe I was so nervous. Everyone at OCC was awesome. The facility was great. Post op I went back and stayed at the hotel and glad I did, the ones that stayed overnight wished they wouldn't have....

Reading in the forums, I have come up with some questions I am hoping someone can answer for me. What is slimming and PBing? They sound yucky - how frequent do they occur?

Also is there somewhere that you can look at the post op diet?

I am really looking forward to getting my first fill this Saturday at the OCC. I have gained 6 pounds since starting on solid food three weeks ago. I sure hope I will feel some restriction after my fill.

Wow, I can't believe I'm starting my final week and I have less than 10 hours of exercise to hit my goal. I am now 5 1/2 months post op and feeling great. I have had 3 fills and now have 7cc in my 11cc band. Food gets stuck frequesntly and it is uncomfortable but I am learning to deal with it. I will be going back to the OCC next week for my fourth and hopefully final fill. I want to lose another 35 pounds and then I will finally be happy!

I guess I have nothin to say because I keep typing, deleting, typing, deleting...I just want to know that someone is out there who has been where I am and they get through this feeling. Today is Sunday May 16. My surgery is scheduled for Thursday May 20, 2010. I can't believe the day is almost here!

Day 30 and it has gotten hard to maintain a positive attitude. I am so hungry, but with just today and tomorrow left it would be a great disservice to myself to go off liquids now. So I guess now I will start shopping around for meal ideas. Are family reunion is 4 weeks from today and I have always been the cook, be it stove oven grill or whatever...

Just got banded about 8 hours ago. My father and I both had the surgery and all went very well. Cant say enough about the Doctors and Staff. I am now thankful (was pissed off) that my US insurance would not approve the procedure or I wouldnt have found the OCC Team.
