  1. Hello, I was wondering if you have any other problem ? Do you have alot of PBing.

  2. Hi Chad, I can't open any of the videos?

  3. I have done this too on days when I feel that my band is too tight. Sometimes I take my food over to the counter and munch as I do dishes...I think sometimes it is just the stress of mealtimes with a toddler!
  4. Hi, I agree that there is not real "set time" for future fills. It takes alot of time to adjust to the band and relearn how to eat (slowly, small bites, chew tonnes, etc...) Only you will know when it seems right to get your next fill.
  5. Hi, I just had a fill to 2.8 cc, then an unfill to 2.7cc (because I was having really bad reflux), then a top of .05 cc so I am now at 2.75 cc. (this was over the course of a month) I can absolutely eat any and eveything the last few days, that includes pasta, bread, etc... Things I normally can't eat.I am worried that maybe my last fill punctured something and I have nothing...has anyone else had this? Normally after a fill I can only eat soup for a few days to let my body adjust...this is weird! Any advice is appreciated!
  6. I had had this problem since being banded, so the suggestion of benefibre is a good one. Once you can start back on solid foods and then a healthy diet, you should consider nuts and prunes in your diet, I have just started to have a few prunes regularly which really helps me.
  7. HI, OCC has been doing a series of Video-Conferences, the most recent was on April 8. I haven't been able to attend due to time zone differences, but I wondered if they are posted anywhere for me to watch? I thought I saw them on here, but have not been able to find them?
  8. I don't see a doctor here who did my band because I live in Canada and where I live there are no bariatric surgeons, but my doctor is aware that I am a bandster and fully supportive. I have not had the pain back since that one episode...so I am not panicing, I will seek what the next few weeks bring and I might need to go for another fill just.
  9. HI AngieB, I can eat and drink fine. I have had lots of reflux in the last two months and went to the doctor and I am on meds.
  10. HI, I was banded in May of 2008 and have lost 93 lbs and feel great! Last week, however, I was taking my daughters car seat out and I had a huge pain. I had a tough time walking or doing anything and it hurt to even touch my port. The pain lasted about an hour and then slowly disappeared. Has anyone else ever had this? I am worried that maybe my band has slipped? I have never had that kind of pain, not even after my surgery.
  11. Hi, my fill is at 9:00 a.m. on the fourth! I am at the Hotel Lucerna if anyone wants to look me up, I am there on the night of theh fourth and back to San Diego on the 5th. I should be registered under Christall Beaudry.
  12. Hi Jacque, this is great. If you want to email me I am also arriving in SAn Diego on the 3rd and getting picked up on the fourth. I am staying at the Holiday Inn in San Diego (close to the airport) and staying overnight on the 4th at the Lucerna. My email is christall_beaudry@hotmail.com if you want to chat!
  13. HI all! Is anyone getting a fill on July 4, 2008? I am flying to San Diego on the third and getting picked up and taken to Tijuana on the 4th for a fill and will stay overnight in Tijuana. This will be my first fill...I'm kind of nervous. If anyone else will be down there then...maybe we can have coffee or something?
  14. Hi Jena, I needed to read your post today! I am day 2 of the pre-op diet (protein shakes and green stuff). I started a three weeks ago drinking a protein shake for breakfast to ease myself in, then last week I did breakfast and lunch and now this week I am all three. I have to say...yesterday was a really tough day, I couldn't stop thinkinga about food. I think I am doing better today, but I feel starved and my brain doesn't seem to be functioning normal! Your right though....a few months isn't so bad for the results to be achieved. It is not that I may never have those things again...some perhaps I won't, but it will be in way smaller portions. Thanks for the motivation! I am down 8lbs so far from the past three weeks.
  15. Hi, I have the same issues with my sister. My sister told me to get a personal trainer and if she could lose weight (she only had 10 to lose) that I could as well. She was very rude to me when I told them I had been considering this for a year and was now planning to go ahead. Shortly, thereafter, my mom slipped it to me that my sister had a tummy tuck! This infuriated me, because I thought "how dare she criticize me". I just haven't mentioned it to her again and don't plan on it. I will make up my mind on my own. My parents were concerned when I told them, they thought it was gastriac bypass, but once I explained they were at ease. My parents had just returned from their 3rd trip to mexico and said someone had gotten ill on their trip and had to be taken to the hospital and they said they never had such good care. My parents said had they not heard that, they may have felt differently about me going there. As for other people, I have really kept this to only a very 'select" few. Of course my partner knows, and he is supportive because he knows I have checked things out thoroughly and he has watched me countless nights on the internet researching and we have spoken about it many times before making the decision. I don't know what the answer is with your sister, with mine, right or wrong, I have just decided to avoid the subject again with her....we will see if it comes up tomorrow night at Easter Dinner...maybe I will be posting again...but if it does come up...so will her tummy tuck that she never even told me about! Good luck!
