  1. Hi! I just read a post from 2009 about your shoulder pain and wondered how long it lasted. I was banded Oct 12th, 2010 and am experiencing the same pain you described in your post. Does it get better? Thanks!

  2. Hi Carrie,

I haven't seen you on for a while, how have you been? :)

  3. YOU LOOK GREAT CARRIE :)

  4. Excited......My son has his first HIGH SCHOOL Football scrimmage in the morning...(:

  5. Hey Stormy! Girl, It does get so very frustrating....I know there is alot of people who does not agree with this, but FOR ME, I HAD to stay off of the scales. I would get SO frustrated and Discouraged, and what is the freaking use kinda tude...lol , when they would not move...I STAYED stressed about this, which caused me to just have a negative attitude towards everything in my life which cause me to be just a big stress ball...ughhhhhhhh ..... ANYWAYS....this is my advice. Pick something that you spend money on per week food wise....Say you go through a fast food place once a week, twice a week...TAKE it out and put that money back. I know times are hard somtimes, but if you really look hard, there is something that you could do without that you are doing now. Put that money back, dont get me wrong, it could take a bit, but something is better than nothing. I have really looked at myself hard and I know that I am NOT working hard enough, some people can do this with little or no effort, NOT ME. I have had to bust my butt for every pound I have lost, logged my food, weighed my food, stayed away from NO NO food, NO friend NOTHING, no breaded NOTHING. Dont only watch the calories but you really need to watch those carbs and fat grams as well. I have stayed away from processed (as much as I can) and canned foods. These are just some suggestions and you may already be doing these things.....Just know that you ARE NOT by yourself in this one. BABY STEPS, take it day by day, and remember tomorrow is a new day. If you have a bad, not so good day with food and exercise, strive to do better. I have a new motto, thank you Miss Jillian....Take the "try" out of your vocab....its the word to set you up for failure, dont try to do something, DO IT!!!!! YOU CAN DO THIS GIRL......BEST WISHES and KEEP THAT BEAUTIFUL SMILE UP! Carrie

I have been doing really good working out 5 days a week, but have been stalled weight wise for MONTHS! HOWEVER I am NOT going to give up. My goal, which I have acheived now for 2 weeks in a row , is 15 miles per week. I am going to keep on keeping on, those scales are going to move one way or another. I still have around 25-30 to go to my goal and would LOVE to get there by the end of the year. WE WILL SEE Well again good luck to everyone! LOVE YOU GUYS! Carrie

B- 1 cup of Cooked Oatmeal (5am) S- Gladator Shake from Smoothy King 45 grams protien 190 calories after workout (700 am) S - Banana (10am) L- 4 oz of Crab meat and a Greek Yogurt (12:30) S- 5 Strawberrys (3:00) D- 3 egg omelet, plain (7:00) Really trying to work on my Water, just hate water...ughhhh Carrie
  10. Lindsay, Congrats, you have worked really hard..... Thanks for sharing... PS....Throw the Starbucks beside you away.. ..LOL I LOVE starbucks! Carrie
  11. First of all...Shelby GREAT PIC!!!! Well I think I got the Love Hate thing going on with my scales. LOVED LOVE D the scales at first but about 8 months ago, I really started having very HARSH feelings toward her...lol Actually to be honest I really dont like her at all! I think it has kept me in check, EXP at first when I was in bandster hell, I weighed myself everyday. Since I have got down to getting off this last 25 pounds I HATE the scale and think for me it is better to stay off of them. I have not weighed myself going on three weeks. I feel like I have stressed myself out because the scale has not moved. I have alot of stress with work and dont need anymore added, I think we all know what stress can do for us...ughhhhh. I am now going to weigh once a month... AS... long as I am seeing my personal trainer and eating clean foods. I feel for myself if I was to weigh at this point and time and I am busting my butt and the scale has not moved, I think it would devistate me! I am really excited and doing really great with my work outs. I am now going 5 days a week instead of 3...YEAHHHH!!!!! I am SCARED to death to step on them right now, so If I can get back with you not this coming Thursday but the next, Ill let you know just how I feel ...LOL Carrie
  12. Beautiful. Congrats.

  13. Congrats Lady!!! I think you are Amazing...you have ALWAYS been so true and honest with yourself and sometimes that is a really hard thing to do. You have been through so much and still you have ALWAYS kept an Amazing attitude towards this journey!!! I think it is so important to learn through this process. We all have heard it a MILLION times, its not how fast you finish the race, its that you finished! I think having a knowledge about food and learing the importance of what you put in your body and what is going to make you healthy is so much more important that how fast those scales will move. PLEASE dont get me wrong, it has taken me a VERY long time in my journey to realize this. As far as thee scales, I hate them too...lol Kinda have that love hate thing going on. For me, I have decided to stay off of them. I think they stress me out way to much! Im eating nothing but healthy food and I do have a day to eat what I like, keeps me working toward having a good relationship with food and the funny thing is, most of the time when I do eat something that I "think" I want, it suprises me everytime that it really was not that great! SO WEIRD for me! Its Growth, finding the real you, learing, and keep on keeping on! Again Congrats Robbyn!!! Carrie
  14. Sabrina, Thanks for posting, Yeahhh there is hope!!...LOL. I understand where you are at, for me it has been MANY MANY months and the scale has not move. I am currently at 1.20cc in my band and have had two "stuck" issues this week, one with rice and one with a plan baked potatoe after a couple of bit so both, NEVER had problems with these before. I have heard more than once that if you keep on keeping on that the scales will move. Dr. Miranda's words to me was that exercise was going to have to be my best friend for my last 20-25 pounds. Well I guess it has taken me months to say ok, maybe so, but I am trying this with a personal trainer and LOVING IT! I too am with Angie, I have stopped weighting myself so much. I have decided not to weight my self this week and wait until next Thursday morning, that will be two weeks for me. LORD GIVE ME STRENGTH not to chunk my scales out the window if they have not moved!!!!! LOL BUT if they have moved and FINALLY get me out of the 180s Im sure you will hear my screams in Canada...LOL Good luck to you girl and keep us posted!!!! Carrie
