About Me

I have been fighting my weight my entire life. I am currently at my heaviest and I'm having surgery on Monday, April 12th.
I'm married to a firefighter/paramedic and live in North County San Diego. I had two kids 21 months apart at age 37 and 39. That really sent my weight over the edge. I managed to lose the 57 pounds from the first one. Swore I would not gain as much weight the second time. I only gained 52 the second time....Still carrying around about 23 pounds of baby weight and my daughter is two! My husband is a big surfer and we spend a lot of time at the beach. Hoping to look a little better in a suit this summer!!! Super excited for my lap band!

    My surgery went fine. The three weeks on the liquid diet are tough. I think everyone is different, but I had my first fill about two weeks ago and still don't have restriction. Going back for fill number two next week.

    Hi Heidi... I'm in San Diego too. Two+ weeks until my surgery. How did yours go? How are you feeling at this point?

    I have to leave my husband home with our kids.
    Not really telling my family I am going to Mexico to do this. My mother would FREAK out
    big time.
