OH MY GOODNESS you guys!!! Just having all these replies to my question is such a relief already. You start to think you are the only one going through this then all of the sudden, BAM! I look on here and have like 6 or 7 replies to my question. It truly makes me feel like I have a circle of support around me, and I am so thankful. YOYODIETER--After reading your reply, it hit me. Your description of your port is EXACTLY what mine feels like...tilted and close to the surface. I have always wondered if this is normal and am SOOO relieved to hear I'm not the only one who's port is placed in this manner. You have eased my mind more than you could imagine, and I so appreciate it. The first time I went in for a fill the lady that does my fills asked if I had a general idea where my port was located. I said, "Yes, I know exactly where it is. You can feel it without even really pressing." She said, "Oh, I don't think so honey, you should't really be able to feel your port. :-? People who do this everyday can feel it, only because they know what they are feeling for. But you'd have to press like crazy to find it." I said, "Ok, then...feel for yourself." SHE FREAKED OUT. She said, "Wow, you were right (I know lol). I have never felt a port so close to the surface! You will be easy as pie to fill!" Anyhoo, my aching port problem is really starting to make sense now. Thank you all so much for taking the time to write back to me and explain how your port feels. By the way--TARA2SASSY4U, my port also feels much better if I'm either standing up, or sitting absolutely straight up. Elongating my torso, like you, feels much better. Maybe it's God's way of saying I need to work on my posture!
Thanks again everyone... LOVE YOU ALL !!!
