  1. You should see if they will reimburse you for all or part...worth a try.
  2. I actually had the same problem for the first few weeks. I was losing on the scale but couldn't tell in my clothes. It was a little frustrating, but then I went to buy new pants and I had dropped four pants sizes. I figure I must have been losing in places that weren't as noticeable to me?! But losing is losing and I don't care where it comes from as long as it is going away!!!
  3. I had a similar reaction, but i believe mine was to the surecleanse they use to prep the skin. It makes recovery feel like an eternity, but it will go away. Mine appeared four or five days post op and is still clearing up. I think it stopped itching around 2 weeks post op. The benadryl worked best for me and my doctor told me to take pepcid ac because it is a hystamine blocker I thought it was strange but as soon as I started taking it, it stopped spreading. Hang in there!! It will go away!!
  4. Lisa, I am feeling much better!! Getting ready to go for my first fill on the 7th. The first several weeks were tough, but I think i'm seeing some of the benefits. By the way, you look fantastic!!!!

    Thanks,

    Myriah

  5. Just checking to see how things are going for you! Hope all is well, take care, Lisa

  6. Lol...I know what you mean. I was out of town and there were so many good resturants!! I couldn't resist!! I have discovered that i still have pretty good restriction...had to learn that the hard way. I can't eat bread and meat together i.e. sandwiches or hamburgers, they hurt so bad and take forever to go down, no matter how much I chew or how small the bites are! My family is doing well, my dad is losing so fast (as Dr. o said he would.)!! Glad to hear things went well with your first solids.
  7. Dr. Martinez was scheduled to do my surgery because Dr. Ortiz was out of town. However the morning of my surgery Dr. Ortiz showed up at the OCC so they did all the surgeries together. However, I was totally comfortable with Dr. Martinez. He answered all my questions and put me completely at ease!! Go ahead and schedule with him, you'll do fine!
  8. Hello all April 28th bandsters... and HAPPY SOLIDS DAY!! (Even though technically I caved over the weekend) >
  9. Wow...I love the cut and the color!!
  10. So sorry to hear about all your struggles...after hearing that i'll stop complaining about my hives!! I agree, people should think long and hard before they decide to be banded. I thought long and hard and did tons of research and in the end no two stories are going to be alike, you just have to be willing to work through all the unexpected hurdles, but that's just life right?!? I, like you, know the long term outcome will be worth all the struggles and 16 days post op I am feeling pretty good and am looking forward to solid foods and my first fill. Hope you are feeling better!!
  11. I'm in and i'd love to help plan. Although my talents are probably not appropriate for an OCC conference. My vote would be for Vegas unless the OCC staff are positive they can attend then SD.
  12. I was banded 4/28 and back to work three days later. I would recommend at least a week off, but everyone is so different it is hard to say. I worked three days later and did fine, but it would have been nice to not sit up at my desk all day.
  13. I am scheduled for the 7th. Hopefully i'll see you there!
  14. Give yourself more time...I really did not start to feel better until around day 8 post-op. I am now at day 14 and feeling great. I can sneeze without feeling like I twisted a gut and can finally sleep any way I want. Honestly you are in for a long few days, but give it time and you will feel better.
