  1. I get the lump every time I eat. It feels like the top of a milk jug is stuck in the back of my throat. It doesnt hurt but it is uncomfortable. I think it is because I've eaten too much. I still dont have the 'mental button' that tells me I've had enough and should stop eating about 8 bites before I do. I also wake up with the lump sometimes. What I did find (2 weeks after surgery) was that I thought it was gas trapped so I would take a Phayzme. Sometimes that does help, the other times, I grin and bear it and kick myself for eating too much. Hope this helps.
  2. walk and sip. walk and sip. gas x strips or phayzme soft gels (open them and put them in something dont swallow them). the softgels contain 3 x the medication for gas do NOT take the big red bus tour. walk, dont ride in the jumbly streets.
  3. I also found out that my ass really looked big in that skirt once...lol
  4. Fibercon tablets. They are chewable. I only take 1/2 when I am hungry. Give it 2 min and it blows up in your belly and you are no longer hungry.
  5. FANTASTIC and CONGRATS! woohoo! niceeee =D>
  6. I teach the autistic. I understand. If a hug was a flower and I could send it, you'd have a garden. If people stare at you, so what. You do what you need to do. Those people do not matter. Your son matters. Your new life when you lose the weight will matter. Other people's opinion do not matter. we love you c.
  7. banded 8/7 and jello set well for me on day 3. didnt try it until then. now i'm on day 11 and i still do the clear liquids and i have tried a couple creamy soups. never have been much of a cream soup person and lets face it, you just dont get better than 98 cents for cambpells veg beef (tossed out the vegs). I can even do pudding when i take small bites and SAVOR it so that its almost liquid. cathy
  8. amazon.com carries it but not barnes and nobles. amazon has some auction copies very reasonable.
  9. Getting in and out of bed was painful for me. Anyting really that involved bending and that was for about 6 days for me. Each day is a little less. the pain is the gas on days 2-4 for most i think. I still have uncomfortable gas that is driving me nuts. Take 2 or 3 different kinds of gas medication Walk.
  10. No, I haven't belched but maybe 5 tiny ones all week. I didnt belch or pass gas for two whole days after surgery. GasX and maalox are my diet right now.
  11. Hi All, Banded a week ago in TJ and have followed the clear liquids going on day 7 now. I've not been hungry and read enough advice on this forum to know I must sip sip sip constantly throughout the day etc. Tried a drinkable yougart with no problems today and clear soup is fine. I don't cheat because I look at everything (like even a peanut) and ask myself, is that an $8000 peanut? Even sex with Kevin Costner isn't worth $8 grand and I'd leave my mate for him. My question is: I want to you to imagine a shampoo bottle that you turn over. See the slow moving bubble going up the bottle? Ok keep that in mind. I feel like I have swallowed the red milk jug cap and it is stuck forever in the back of my throat. I have a pressure/almost a small annoying dull pain right in my sternum between my breasts which stays with me constantly. I have a re-occuring gas bubble (???) that starts out as a little hiccup and moves to a yawn then begins the slow (shampoo bottle) ascent from my belly straight up the middle to the sternum and for a brief second it is very painful. So much so for that moment, I cant even walk or speak. Now yesterday, this happened over 40 times. I kept track. As far as I can tell and record, there is not a trigger for this bubble, if indeed it is one. I know that stomach pain is sometimes located in the back but I don't really have that. Is like there is a 3 inch piece of pvc pipe in my windtunnel from throat to breastbone. I've had GERD and acid reflux before so I know what those are, but this is different and uncomfortable. Any ideas? Thanks in Advance from Florida!
