  1. I spoke with the doctor today and scheduled surgery for 4/26. They can move the port interior, down and next to the muscle. Thank you everyone!
  2. Wow, It has been so long since I had been on this site I forgot how supportive you all are! Thank you for the information and all of the kind words! Still no word from the clinic, I guess I'll call them on Monday. Dr. Doolittle, Are you sure the port can't be moved behind the muscle? I don't know where else it could be moved to. Lori (my patient rep at occ) said it could and the cost would be $350. Thank you, Jarvis
  3. Has anyone ever had their port surgically moved? I got the band 15 months ago, and have lost all the weight I needed to, plus more (55 pounds). A year ago I started w a personal trainer 5x a week. I have no fat, and have built up good core muscles. Now the port is sticking out about a half inch. I wrote to OCC a week ago and sent photos, but yet to hear back from Dr Martinez. I was told that sometimes the port can be moved behind the muscles. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks, Jarvis
  4. Trav, that's exactly what I was thinking. Typically us bigger girls are not iron deficient. A few years back I was also cold all the time (along with a few other symptoms), we found out I was anemic and now get iron infusions every 6 months, now my body temp is normal.
  5. Even though you say "you are not trying to do cyber therapy"..you are a size 2, why are you on this board? have you had a band? And if not, why are you here asking?
  6. I am 2 months post op with 1 fill. I can eat anything, all veggies, pasta, potatoes, chicken. I'm wondering if with my 2nd fill, I might find things different. Cindy
  7. My mom and I (we had our surgeries 12/12/08) are scheduled for our 2nd fill 3/13/09. We both still feel very little restriction.
  8. where in washington do you live? My son has had his fills with Dr Kelly Fitzpatrick in Portland....she knows what shes doing!
  9. I feel your pain! I was also fine until about 12 days.....then food was driving me crazy. I really don't have any tips to offer, just encouragement to hang in there! Forget about the scale weight....any gain is water. You can do it!!!! Cindy
  10. I originally thought.."that's no big deal", well it turns out it is for me too. And I have not been able to do it successfully, yet....working on it though. This goes hand in hand also with the fact that I am a salt-a-holic. I have had to try and cut out the salt (now I am using salt substitute). The lack of salt has helped me a lot in training myself not to drink with food. Cindy
  11. Thanks Jude. No coffee that morning it is....dang!
  12. Thanks girls, that helps a lot. What about liquids.....coffee up until an hour prior?
