  1. Congrats!!!!!!!! I am so looking forward to following in your footsteps of reaching my goals!! You have been one of my big inspirations on here!!! I agree on celebrations used to be with food and now want to definately do other ways of celebrating!!!! Again, congrats on reaching another goal!!! Have a wonderful run AND glass of wine!! LOL
  2. Thanks for your advice and input. I appreciate it very much. I like the thin n crispy pizza better anyway...I just thought we are only to eat 3 oz of meat, then green veggies, a piece of fruit and then if room a bit of carbs. SOOO, I have been staying away from everything else....no casseroles, no pizza, no anything except meat, vegs, fruit and it is getting old real quick...... I appreciate the info and glad to know that can have thin crust pizza every once in a great while...I have really getting down thinking would be eating the same food day in and day out for the rest of my life.....You ladies are right...that my not eating probably is what has stalled plus same thing every day....I will be changing it up and trying new things....Thanks again.....I LOVE THIS FORUM.....It is such a great motivational tool!!!!! You have a wonderful day!!!!!
  3. Was just wondering if anyone knows of any doctors that will do fills with flourosopy(??spelling) following Dr Ortiz's Lapband in central Illinois?? There is a Fill Center USA within 100 miles of me but they do not use the xray..... Thanks.....hope all has a wonderful day.. Ang-IL
  4. Thanks for the recipe on the pizza quiche......I will have to try that--sounds delicious (except for I will omit olives-I know-picky, picky).... I appreciate the encouragement...This is really tuff since I don't like so much on different foods... This forum is WONDERFUL for pick-ups...When I get down...I try to read quite a bit on here and that helps alot..You all are so great at helping each other.... Thanks again....and will definately be trying this!!
  5. I know that I am a very picky eater but I am really struggling with the food choices. I LOVE PIZZA!!!! That is my biggest struggle right now....I could eat pizza every day, but from what I understand we are never suppossed to have it again. I do not like very many vegetables or fruit so this is very hard for me right now. I am skipping meals instead of eating 3 meals a day....alot of times I am only having 1 small meal and am stuck at weight loss of 36 lbs. I am really getting discouraged because I did not pay all that money for only 36 lb loss. If anyone has any advice to help me......PLEASE-PLEASE-PLEASE DO!!!!!!!!!!! I don't want to stray off of what we are supposed to eat but the only vegetables I like is peas, corn and potatoes and I know potatoes aree horrible for you. Also the fruit is only an apple once in a great while and bananas.....and can get burnt out real quick on this....I do not like rice or fish and can only eat so many chicken breasts...... Hope everyone has a wonderful evening and can give me tips on helping....... Thanks, Ang-IL
  6. Debbie, Thank you soooooooo much for your answer....YOU are truly my INSPIRATION!!!! I have followed your profile and posts since I started on this forum!! I really appreciate all of your advice!! I really enjoy this forum and as you did say-I do check it multiple times a day and just absolutely love all of the posts on it. I have gotten a little discouraged by the inches not coming off as fast as I thought but Dr Miranda said that I am probably loosing in all different places so sizes might not drop as quick as I hoped. I have lost 36 lbs and 24 overall inches but not dropped a whole pant size yet. I guess it will start more when can be doing alot more exercise. The biggest thing I really need to get going is the exercise. I have walked a little and just purchased an elliptical machine and borrowed an exercise bike as well. I know in time as the weight goes down that exercise will become alot easier and will enjoy it. I have had surgery in the past on on knee and have noticed a considerable difference with the weight lost so far. I am so looking forward to the solid food. I have done wonderful with not cheating on pre op or post op diet. I have been thru birthday parties, vacation, etc and stuck to it 100%. I really do believe that it is mindset. Again, thank you so much and much luck wished your way as you continue on your wondreful journey. I cannot wait to see updated photos of you after your PS. Thanks Again, Ang-IL
  7. Good morning all!!! Hope this finds all doing fine.....I am less then a week away from solid foods and am wondering....what kinds I should be eating when get to it.....I have the paper that Dr Miranda gave me but is so vage that I am confused and bought Dr Ortiz's book and even more confused because what it says on one page, the next page says the opposite. I seen on someones post about having problems after a fill and was unfilled....and since not having restriction now--can eat steak, pork, etc.....I thought we was suppossed eat 3-4 oz meat per meal(3 times a day).....if not suppossed to have pork or steak....then what are we to eat....Can we have cheese?? I know it isnt a good choice, but a little on the side with meal?????? Open to all ideas or suggestions. Also....any ideas for greens(suppossed to be every meal as well??)....I only like green beans and peas--dont like asparagus, broccolli, etc. I just dont want to mess this up...I have tried way to hard and spent way too much to throw it away......... Thanks for all suggestions..... Ang-IL
  8. Thanks Lisa....I will give that a try. One other thing-I feel kind of bruised(but am not) all over--do you think that might be something to do with the same as well??
  9. I was wondering if any one else has experienced feeling nauseus pretty much 24/7 while on the liquid phase. I was banded on June 30th and there is only a little bit each day that I am not sick feeling or bloated feeling. I emailed Dr Miranda and she didn't seem too concerned so thought I would post and see if anyone else has experienced this or had any suggestions. Hopefully this isn't what the feeling will be forever. Thanks and hope all has a wonderful day. Ang-IL

  12. Hey all....hope this finds all doing great!!! I was just looking for guidelines as fas as the liquid stage goes. I just added the yogurt in at lunch today and wasn't sure-it said in 1/2 cup serving....is that once per day or at each meal????? Also Saturday I will get to add in the cream soups and was thinking the yogurt for breakfast and small bit of cream soup for lunch and for supper......does that sound right???? I just want to make the most of this life change and want to do it all correct........Any and all suggestions or information is welcome!! Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!! Ang-IL
  13. Just a quick question....how do you get all the little added features on your profiles....like the weightloss countdown(have seen a few different ones) and like the weight you was, when banded, updated weights, fills, etc.....
  14. Damalove.....thanks for the info.....It all looks great-really suprised the quick healing so far on it-it may be the way I am sitting at my desk because my coutertop is kind of low......I really appreciate all of the help on this site!!!! The forum really pushed my decision when doing all of the checking.....
