Finally! Some positive words of encouragement. Thanks for sharing the successes. I really needed to know that there are some people out there that are happy with the Plication. I was starting to get nervous. I am very excited about my success and I knew that I could not be the only person with good things to say about the procedure. Thanks again for sharing.

Does anyone have any positive Gastric Plication stories? Everyone seem to be disappointed with their weight loss, but I have yet to come across those that are satisfied with their weight loss. This is very discouraging. Is there anyone out there that could provide some successes for the Plication community.

Ok, I am new to this website, but I had the Gastric Plication done on March 17th as a result of a badly infected lap band. I had my lap band procedure done in 2008 and only loss 60 or so pounds. The last time I was able to even feel a little restriction was last year around May. From May 2010 until March 2011, I was all on my own. I worked out like an addict but I lost absolutely no weight, in fact, I gained weight over the holidays. I gained close to 20 pounds. Yep, 20 pounds. My doctor finally decided to go in to take a look after, I had already been hospitilized for esophageal spasms. He saw that I had developed a nasty infection around the band and decided to take the band out and do the gastric plication. Since the plication, I have lost about 20 pounds, and I am happy with that. However, within the last week I have developed this pain under my right breast. This pain feels like a balloon that is going to burst if I inhale too deeply. I have been trying to do some research but I can't seem to find anything that can tell me what this is. I have read a couple of postings that seem to point to gallbladder issues, but God I hope that is not what I am experiencing. I even thought that maybe I torn some of the suturing but I don't think my stomach is located near the place where I am expericing this pain., Please share with me if you have felt this pain. Also, I'm reading about so many disappointed Plication outcomes. Are there any happy campers out there that care to share?
