  1. Hey Irishcowboy, This is magpie, I seem to have stopped losing weight, I'm actually going backwards! I'm wondering if the scale is moving for you again and how/what you did to get back on track...
  2. Still dealing with constipation :( ... I've tried everything I've benn told and the only thing that's worked for me is the glycerin suppositories, yeap, not the best but it worked. I'm still struggling to become regular. Having vowel movement every Sunday far from normal...I know a lot of you have complained abt constipation but is anyone out there dealing with more than just the occasional situation??? Please help! I've finally been able to increase my water intake...

I had another surgery a few month back, a friend recommended swiss kriss herbal laxative tabs, worked like a charm when nothing else would

  3. Hi Cowboy and congrats! I had the same issue with the IV. I had my plication on March 28 and to this day my arm is still bruised. The tenderness has subsided but it was really sore the first week. I can also relate to the small consumption rate, although I've gotten better I'm barely able to take 16 oz of water a day... For what I've read we should be taking at least 32oz daily. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions and again congratulations!
  4. Hi Ana, I want to take you for all your entries, you've been such a major source of inspirational and a wealth of knowledge! Your blog and entries helped me made up my mind, so thank you! I had my plication on march 28 and I'm in the middle of major mental cravings, painfully bloated and constipated... I haven't had a vm since the day before my surgery. The pressure in my stomach is so great that I feel I could burst at any moment. Did u have this problem? I am so thirsty I feel like downing a whole glass of water, then reality sets in as soon as get a painful pressure pain in my chest after my third little sip... How did you managed to stay hydrated?? I would be so forever grateful if you can shine some light down my path cuz I'm not feeling very good right now, please!
  5. The scale keeps moving. Despite being so constipated I've been losing about a pound a day since my plication on march 28. I've been able to take only half of my 8oz shake, abt 2-3 oz of natural yogurt, 5 oz of vitamin water, and 4 oz of soup... My stomach feels REALLY bloated, it's actually pretty hard,. My incisions are healing beautifully,

  6. Hello fellow OCCers. I'm looking for answers to my constipation problem. Today is day 10 after my plication and I feel I'm going to burst. I've tried diluted prune juice, milk of magnesium, walking, straight apple juice....what has worked for all you? Please help!! I've been in all liquids....could it be that there's no waste to pass since my intake its still pretty low?

  7. Thank you for sharing your experience. I had my plication on march 28 and I'm struggling with the mental hunger. I'm sick of eating soups! I'm craving everything! Tomorrow will be day seven post-op and can't wait to enjoy a good cup of coffee. I hope I'm able to keep it down. So far I haven't had any pain or vomiting.... Haven't had a vm since the surgery, but Dr. So told me it was normal since I'm still in the liquid stage. I feel really bloated and uncomfortable; my incisions are itching too. Anyway, reading your experience makes me feel better and hopeful, so thank you!
