  1. yes I get 5 sick days a year which would have to be for fills.
  2. unfortunately that would not be an option since I can only take 5 days off a year. I usually work on weekends as well... I dont think I can even consider the band if I cant find follow up locally.
  3. Hi- I really want to get the band done, but the nearest fill centere is over 4 hours away!! The local docs have a 6 month wait list for patients banded elsewhere- any ideas? I dont want to get a band and wait 6 months for follow up!!!
  4. Isnt follow up problematic? There are no fill clinics near me... and I have contacted local bariatric surgeons and the wait for a fill if you have had one done in mexico is over 6 months
  5. I was wondering that too! I have also heard somewhere that you have to wait a year. If I had to guess I would say that your stomach is more compressable than the saline filled band... I was worried that the pressure would affect the stomach and the band differently causing slippage, i think the longer you wait, the more tissue around the band, the less likely that will happen... I would contact Inamed or the manufacturer of your band and ask them- and keep in touch and let me know what they say!!!
  6. what the hey who does "pb'd" or "slimed" mean?? sounds darn unpleasant!
  7. it means that you have a fast heart rate (> 100bpm) originating from the SA node in your atria (which is where it is supposed to origniate from). The LVH is left ventricular hypertrophy which is usually from high blood pressure or it could be a normal variant- I am not sure what the ECG machine read. The Ant infarct probably meant that the ECG saw and indication in the anterior leads of prior ischemia such as Q waves. The good news is that weight loss can only help high blood pressure and you are well on your way to a healthier you!!! Good luck at your doctor's! quote name='FurEllie' date='Oct 11 2007, 06:35 PM' post='16507'] I read mine and it says: Interpretation: Sinus tachycardia Minimal voltage criteria for LVH, may be normal variant Cannot rule out Anterior infarct, age undetermined Abnormal ECG Now, I'm going to assume that it couldn't be THAT bad or they wouldn't have continued, but what do others say? I'm dropping a copy of this off at my doctor's tomorrow just to make sure. We have a history of heart problems in my family and even though it's so far been just males, my grandfather, male cousin and uncle on my mother's side all had heart attacks before they were 40. I'm 45 and of course, I'm not going to sleep well tonight, lol.
  8. i am considering lap band- if you could go back in time- esp the folks that have had theirs for a while... would u do it again? Any parts that u regret?
