  1. That has been happening to me also. I thought I just wasn't chewing well or eating too fast! I would agree it is the heat.
  2. The biggest problem I am having is STOPPING! I have enjoyed food for the longest time, how do I control myself to stop! Well usually the band tells me, but I have noticed that I enjoy my food less. Pizza, being my favorite food, I can only eat one or maybe two slices, but I don't enjoy it like I used to. Good, bad, I don't know? For the last three night I have been eating to the point of PBing. A lot of this is due to the fact that I USED to be a night eater. I don't eat breakfast, can skip lunch, but once the sunsets, WATCH OUT! So I can basically drink water all day, but at dinner time I eat too fast and end up sick. Am I the only one with this affliction. Please share your trouble times, it makes me feel like I am not alone! Also include the way you deal with the cravings, and any good solutions! Thanks guys!
  3. I am deeply sorry for your loss. I saw another post referring to the burial of your child. I pray for you to stay strong for your family, and I hope that it is a comfort to know your child is in the arms of God. I will pray for your family, my heart truly goes out to you and yours. LOVE, Fat 2 Fab...
  4. Mine makes noise too, when the fiance and I are... well you know, yeah! That is more embarrassing than the noise it makes when I am too hungry. But I did notice it growls less since I got my last fill. A fill that I am satisfied with the restriction.
  5. I just wanted to add that you are soo cute and I am rooting for you! This journey is a long and sometimes hard one. I wish you all the success!
  6. I think that is a great idea to talk with Dr. Miranda. Thanks
  7. Hang in there! It will be over soon and then you can chew! The hardest part is that there is no surgery to change your habits. I had to read the literature over and over that said "no snacks between meals" so that my brain can understand STOP SNACKING. I think that since you have been sticking to the plan you are very strong and you can do it.
  8. I didn't practice sipping or eating slowly or chewing to death. What happened was I got a fill (well 2) and that thing FORCED me to sip, eat slow and chew. It is a big learning curve, but you learn quick. The first time I didn't chew my food right I was convinced I was having a heart attack and dying! I "slimed" which is so gross and spit and finally mercy was placed upon me and I gave it up! So trust me sipping "will come naturally" after restriction!
  9. I just got my second fill on June 7th, and the restriction is good. GREAT! But I still feel like I don't know what foods to eat or how to eat. I have a family so basically at dinner I make a meat selection (Chicken, Turkey, fish, or tofu) some veggies and rice, noodles beans, etc. I make my self a small plate and still don't finish. All of that is fine, but I am not seeing any loss. My clothes fit better, but I don't exercise ( I am currently in summer school) so I know it's not muscles. Does anyone have a sample menu or something I could look at. I looked at the literature they give you at OCC and they just say split the plate up and eat in order, but I want to know WHAT to put on the plate. I just feel like if I had a menu I could duplicate that I would be losing better/faster. Thank for any advice you could give me!

  11. No matter what happens in life, you can never be too rich or too skinny! Congratulations on the weight loss! Compliments like those are so great!
  12. I was nervous too! The three nights leading up to surgery I couldn't sleep. Try to recruit a friend to go with you, but if you can't the staff at OCC is so nice and caring. They will take such good care of you. The office is nice and clean and everyone is so friendly. There is nothing to be afraid of. I am so pleased with the level of professionalism. The only difference is LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! If it were in the states it would be more expensive, but the same service.
  13. I am so glad that Paula Bee posted this because I am having the same trouble too! Before I got my second fill I would drink water to stop the hunger pains, now I have to sip, sip, sip all day. When I just sip like that I forget and I am only drinking like 20 oz of water a day. It has been extremely hot here in CA this past week and I am afraid I will pass out in the street! I don't have a solution, but I just wanted to let you know that you aren't the only ones concerned!
  14. It took like a month before I could sleep flat on my stomach. I used a body pillow on the side of the port (it worked good when I was pregnant, too) and propped myself at a 45-degree angle for the pain ( I had it in my chest).
  15. I cheated too! I am not proud, but I started eating little bites really early. My brain told me I was hungry and that I needed to chew something! I did notice however that at 7 weeks I got my first fill and about 2 weeks later I had no restriction. It could be that my stomach was still swollen; maybe from eating too soon. Be careful, I drank milk shakes to curb my hunger pains and started on the creamy stuff early. That helped a lot. I figured a shake was better than eating at that point in the healing. Good luck and try to stay as close to the diet as possible.
  16. I like South Beach Diets bars. I don't eat them everyday, but I put them in my purse or backpack, so if I get hungry, I don't stop for fast food. Any flavor is good.
  17. I can agree with that! Whatever my set point sized is, I am going to need obese closet space!
  18. I wish I knew about the dog track too! Also there is a GREAT restaurant on the next corner down from the OCC office. Nice for the people you bring with you, the make fresh tortillas and guacamole! Also buyer-be-ware when buying "Gold" in TJ. My fiance brought a tester kit with him, came in handy!
  19. My daughters name is Evie, I think we pronounce it the same! She is 3 years old.
  20. I am also a 16. I think I would like to be a 5/6. I like trendy clothes and they are usually on the smaller side. If I could wear designer jeans that were a size 26 or smaller, I would die HAPPY!
  21. The progress you have made is very inspiring. Keep up the good work! Both dresses are beautiful and you are so courageous to even think to pick up a size 6! LOL I am a 16 and can barely imagine being a 12. Congratulations on your progress.
  22. I had a great time in TJ. My fiance went out, shoppin and ate(he did anyway!) and even went to a club and watched the boxing match. NO ONE BOTHERED US! Ever. I did notice a strong police presence, but not in a harassing way, more like patroling. Every perone we met was polite and very helpful. I wore all my jewlery and noticed other bandsters went out shopped and bought more. Don't lear fear run your lives. Be cautious as you would going any place new, but not to the point of fear...
