Hi, I live in clearwater Florida and I called the fillcentersusa and they set me up with a center on 66th st in St.pete. I loved this clinic ! The doctors and nurses were sooo helpful and kind. I paid 349.00 it was so worth it. I just couldn't take time off work to go to Mexico. It is so worth it to go there. First they talk to you and answer any questions you have, they show you a lapband like the one you have in "its really cool". Then they have you lay on the ex-ray table and they show you your band on tv.that was really neet to see. Then they spray this really cold stuff on your stomach to numb it and then they stick the needle in and have you sit up and drink water while they fill your band. I didn't feel a thing, not even a prick. They put 2cc in my 4cc band. You would think I would be really resricted but I'm not, just cant eat any bread and I have to shew my food good or else i get sick. They told me if at anytime i feel the band is too tight I can come in and they will take fluid out at no cost to me. I hope this info helps you. Hi All, I'm having a very hard time with the pre-op diet. I have only lost 5 lbs and I have surgery on Friday. I have had really bad headaches and feel like poooo. I wrote the Dr and i'm waiting to hear back . Has anyone had similar symtoms? Do you think I will still be able to have surgery? Thanks, Christine

Hi Everyone, Only three more days till surgery. I'm so excited. I started the pre-op diet Friday. I have been drinking the slim fast shakes 3x a day but I haven't been feeling well very shaky and hungry. Has anyone had this problem and is there anything that will help? Thanks, Christine

Hi Everyone, I wanted to know if anyone had this problem. When I filled out the paper work for the surgery I weighed 210 and last week when I weighed myself before starting the diet I weighed 215. I lost 5 pounds this week on the pre-op diet and i have 1 more week till I get banded by Dr Ortez, Im sure i will loose 5 more pounds will that be enough? I dont know maybe im over thinking this. I just want everything to go smoothly. Help Christine Nicholsen

=D> 4/11 I can't believe its almost here. I'am so excited. I started my diet Monday, I have a slimfast shake for breakfast and lunch and then a smart one for dinner. No snacks! I have been drinking oj weightwatcher 1/2 the calories with metamucil 3 x a day to help the cravings. This is so hard especialy at night, I'm a big night eater. I'm 215 now so I'll be interested to see how much i lost on Monday. Does anyone know how much he want us to loose ? Can't wait to meet everyone. Christine

Hi everyone. 4/11 is right around the corner, I'am so excited! I was wondering if anyone can give me advise about the diet before surgery. Your should be on it for atleast a week right? Can you use slim fast? What works best? I need help If I did well on diets i would'nt need this surgery. lol Thanks Christine

4/11 banster I was wondering they tell you, you can go back to work in a couple of days. I have a desk job and i was wondering if anyone had a problem sitting for a long period of time right after the surgery? Also do they give you pain medication to take home?
