  1. Congratulations Stormy! That is awesome. Keep up the good work. :lb24: :lb13:
  2. I can not eat bananas. I think I have them all mushed up but it still gets stuck. Anybody else have trouble?
  3. You said it yourself.... You are not getting in your water and exercising. Those are tools to use with the band. The band doesn't do it all. I was struggling with my second fill too so I bit the bullet financially and just got my third. I am very happy with my restriction at this point. Adjust your thinking and start again. Good luck! You can do it!
  4. I went there for my second fill on December 4th. I too loved the experience. I am going again in 7 days!! Can't wait. They were super nice.
  5. This is not the bodybugg. This is the "Lifesource wireless activity monitor" for $49.99. I have the bodybugg and the only battery I know of is the AAA I replace about once a week. As I said above I love mine and if I were to lose it now I would have to find a way to buy another one. It is vital to my success. Any questions jusk ask Sandy
  6. I have not heard of this and I can not find any info when I search. Can you please give me a link to the info? Thanks
  7. I have the bodybugg and I absolutely love it! It is pricey and also has a monthly subscription fee. I think that was $15 if you automatically renewed. I got it as an early Christmas present and it has become an integral part of my life. My favorite feature is the estimated calories you will burn if you are at rest for the remainder of the day. In other words I like to work out in the morning and see the estimator tell me I can sit on my butt the rest of the day and reach my calories burned goal. I never sit the rest of the day with 4 kids though. Just a fantasy. It also lets me know that I haven't blown it completely if I indulge in some extra calories. As long as I have burned more than I've eaten I can fight another day. I used to get down on myself thinking I'd blown it and it would cause me to overeat for days or weeks. Not any more! Bottom line: I can't live without it.
  8. I was the first to hand my paperwork back in and they took me right then. They rushed me thru because they wanted to get started but I didn't care. That's what I wanted.
  9. How many incisions for that surgery? Boy that must have been frustrating all this time. glad you are going to get it straightened out. good luck.
  10. I do not have the Wii fit can I use her workout without it? I just have the Wii. I love Jillian!
  11. Hi Big Daddy, congratulations on the decision to change your life. I wanted to add my 2 cents about pizza. It is my all time favorite food and I could eat it every single day of my life (but I obviously don't). I have no intention of giving it up. The band is my tool to eat normal food in normal portions. If I have to eat "diet" food to lose the weight and keep it off then I really have wasted my money. I do eat a great deal of diet food but I can't live like that without encountering a situation where I need to eat normal food. That's what the band is for. I want to be one of those people that "serving sizes" were made for. Pre band I thought they were made for toddlers. Good luck!
  12. Wow, you've had your share of stress lately. I'm so glad you are on the other side of it now and doing great on your weight thru it all. You do look awesome!
  13. I have heard and read about the body bugg and that is what I want. It's pricey so I have to wait until I come up with the extra money. They all wear them on the biggest loser.
  14. Good luck Julie. I envy you because I love it there. I was just there 9 days ago but it was such a rush. I want to leave more time next time. Please post pictures of either or both of the hottie doctors.
  15. I emailed my coordinator, Carolyn. Got it the next day.
  16. A camera so I could have a picture of Dr. Martinez.
  17. Vix, put up a sign that says Pardon my mess, I'm under construction.
  18. I still have discoloration on my stomach from the bruises. My trip home was very long since I have to fly in to Rochester New York then drive 1 1/2 hours. I think that caused excessive bruising. I am 8 weeks post op and I can still see it. I don't normally bruise easily. I am anxiously awaiting the time when it goes away.
  19. I think that's normal. At least it was for me.
  20. The week before I went for my first fill my very close friend's mother, who had the band 1 year ago (locally) discovered her band wasn't even attached. It was not around the stomach, it was like the letter "C". She had complained to the doc for the whole time that she wasn't losing weight. He kept blowing her off saying it's not bypass, it takes time. He could withdraw all the fluid from previous fills so they knew there was no leak. Well he FINALLY did a barium swallow, same as flouro, and discovered the problem. Now she needs additional surgery and she doesn't know if she has to now have the bypass or if the band can be saved since it's grown into nearby tissues. I don't think I can ever go anywhere but the OCC now. If I have to wait until I've saved the money then so be it. I've paid too much for this and I don't want just anybody doing the maintenance. I searched for cheap flights then made the fill appt, not the other way around. I'm still amazed at the price I got.
  21. Hi Stormy, great job on the 10 pounds! I just got back from my first fill there and I got the "hotel package" where they pick you up at the airport and transport you to and from clinic and hotel. With the fill it came to $279. I have heard so many horror stories both on this board and off about blind fills that I won't have a fill done without using flouro. By planning ahead I found a smokin deal on a plane ticket through cheaptickets.com. Unless you know a doc locally that does fills under flouro I would save up to go to the OCC. Congratulations on becoming a bandster. How's hubby doing?
  22. I paid the deposit and later the balance using paypal. No problems.
