I love my family, my husband and my 4 year old son. We have 3 dogs a hampster and fish. I love playing with my son, swiming, jumping on the trampaline. We love hiking and walking the dogs. I like to read (when I have the time). I like to watch movies and I'm a big fan of Saving Grace, Criminal Minds and The Closer. I like shows that make you think.

  1. How did your surery go? How are you feeling. I'm starting week 3 and I feel great! - Tonya
  2. - this is the start of my second week since my sugery and I couldn't be happier! So far life with the band is going great! My engery is up, I'm down 15 pounds and I'm not hungry. My wounds are healing very nicely. So far no complaints. Next week I start eating solid foods and I'm excited about that as well.
  3. Well it has been one week since my surgery and I feel GREAT! I'm not hungry, I have an increase in energy (not sure why). I'm taking it one day at a time, but so far I'm really excited about my lap-band. Let me know how you are feeling. Tonya
  4. I was given my lap-band on July 28 and I'm one day past a week. The surgery was not bad at all and my recover is pretty easy. I get tired easy and so I take a nap (man is that hard ). My family has been very supportive. I was nervous about the post-op diet, but it has actually been pretty easy. I had to make my own soup becuase I needed more flavor than just chicken broth. I keep thinking about how good the chicken broth soup at the hotel had been and I wanted to eat that again. I made a huge pot of chicken soup. I enjoyed the broth and the rest of my family enjoyed the soup. It came out full of flavor and I find I actually look foward to eating it. I started to drink the yogurt drinks. They are actually pertty good. I guess after eating my chicken soup for a week, my tast buds really enjoyed a change in flavor. My son loves them too and so he drinks them with mommy. They are good for him and I love to see him drink them with. So far I have no complaints and I'm looking foward to the next week and eating the creamy soups. I'm going to make that at home too - I found a receipe on the forum and it looks pretty good so I thought I'd try it.

  6. Okay this is my first blog. I am scheduled to have my lap-band on July 28, 2008. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. I know that I have to do this if I want to live a healthy life. I am having a lot of trouble with the pre-op diet. It is very very hard to stick to this diet. I hope it will be easier after my sugery becuase I'm just hungry all the time right now. I hope I can take the weight off. Here are my starting measurements: ( Weight - 233.5 lbs Chest 45.5" Waist 38" Hips 50" (When my husband took this measurement he said "Oh my God." We both laughed, but it is very sad.) Arms L - 16.5" R - 16.5" Thigh L - 30" R - 30" I'll see what my weight is on the day of surgery and I'll update weekly. Wish me luck.
