  1. I had my first fill a month ago. I was doing great before that...no hungry, and the weight was coming off. Now, I have only lost 6 lbs. since my fill. I honestly was not hungry prior to my fill, now I am hungry!! I am drinking 64-80 oz. of water every day and walking 4 miles 3 times a week. Has anyone ever had the feeling like you did not get enough of a fill? Thanks!
  2. Let me know how you do with your band. You will be so glad you did it. All the challenges with my mom are getting to me tonight. And then I got a promotion today at work that I am not sure I really want...too much on my plate o lright now. A couple of months ago I wanted it. Remember water, water, water, and follow what Dr. Miranda tells you to do. Get a pedomter and put it on the minute you wake up in the morning and get a goal of 10,000 steps a day. I did 9164 to day. Just wish I could be there for the party! :lb21:
  3. GOOD LUCK AND BEST SKINNY WISHES to all of you that are having surgery in September! I had mine done on August 29th and it has been a great decision and so much easier than I was worried it would be. I started out with my pre-surgery diet at 220 and am down to 203!! =D> The best part is everyone at work is starting to notice. I am already down two sizes from when I started at 220. I know you all worry about the liquid diet for 3 weeks. I am 12 days into it, it has been super easy. I am not hungry!! The hardest days where days 4 & 5 and it was re-training me. I felt like a shark swimming around my prey (the refrigerator and the cubbards), but it was that thinking that I should be eating but I was not hungry. I am really testing my emotional eating on this too! We just found out my mom has breast cancer (stage 4) which has spread to her spine in three spots, breast, lung, and her head. She has always been thin, and is a two time breast cancer survivor prior to this. She has to under go back surgery, the strongest most agressive chemotherapy they have, and radiation. I am so proud to say no cravings for junk food, chocolate or gallons of Dr. Pepper! Before surgery I was a huge emotional eater! The support of Dr. Ortiz's office has been great. They have answered any questions I have called them with, the hospital clinic was really nice, the staff was awesome, the other doctor's were great, now about Dr. Ortiz he is his own Dr. Mc Dreamy of Mexico. Noone knows that I had surgery done but my husband, because I did not want them saying "ANOTHER DIET!". I had to do this for me. I hope me sharing how easy it has been would help all of you! I wish you all good luck and "cheers - to the "new thin/healthy us"! =D> Kim in Ramona (outside San Diego)
  4. You will laugh! I had a dream last night of a huge strawberry short cake with a large amount of whip cream. Then I woke up and went oh darn! But, get some juices like apple, cranapple, and then drink half a bottle of water and then fill the bottle with the rest of the juice. I am a bit stiff in the morning, but I get up and walk around and the stiffness goes away. Have not cheated once! I am not hungry at all. Good luck! Your skinny buddy Kim <' />
  5. Good Luck! It is so easy compared to what you might think. I had my surgery on 8/29. I feel great! My hardest part is knowing that when I see a Mc Donald's or any other fast food place I have to keep on driving by. I am not hungry or in any pain. I wish you the best of luck! You will definitely know you are doing the right thing the minute you get to Dr. Ortiz's office. They are awesome! Kim Just4me
  6. HI, I just had my surgery on Friday, August 29th. It has been an awesome experience. I went by myself down to TJ. The elevator opens and you know you are at the right place. Dr. Ortiz and his staff are great! =D> I do abmit that I am having withdrawls...driving by Mc D's, Carl's Jr, Wendys and not having a coke in my car with me. Driving by Mc D's and all were like losing a best friend. ( It is going to be some retraining myself out of the bad habits that got me where I am and my new habits will get me to where I want to be. Broth, popcycles, water, and Crystal light are becoming those new best friends. But, this has got me really motivated. No pain! I even went with my husband today (two days out of surgery) to the junk yard. I know I will be up to going to work on Tuesday. You wonder if you are making the right decision YOU DID! Your kids will be fine and best of all they will get a happy, healthy, new mom out of this! Good Luck! > Just4Me
