  1. watching rupaul's drag race. my god, do all t-girls know how to do flying splits?

  2. i love your cute statuses

  3. omg that is soo funny, i did a LOT of those too after spending time in japan. five years later, the only ones i still do is slurp noodles, saying (glutteral) 'un' for yes and 'uun' for no, and beckoning people/"come here" motion with hand facing down as opposed to american way, with one finger facing up (if that makes sense). dont know if that one in korea too.

  4. Korea...wow. What took you there?

  5. i had this done in south korea where i live and work, paid out of pocket myself (7 million South Korean won = 6314 U.S. dollars) and there was no pre-op diet/testing. I made the appointment, they told me to not eat anything starting midnight the night before, and that was it. i know the pre-op diet is to shrink the liver, but i suspect it's a test of your will as well. Here since you are paying for it, choosing to eat high calorie slider foods is your money thats being wasted. a friend of mine met a woman in the office who had after 6 months only lost 15 lbs. she was older (50's) but the dr said the woman was just not wanting to actually lose weight. whereas my two friends who had this done 6 months ago as well are both down 50 lbs. i didnt have to go through the process of waiting for an insurance company, pre op diet, etc, but i went through a different process. i'd been researching doing this for 2 years, reading everything i could and learning as much as i can. i am not flawless in what i eat now, but omg i eat so much less than i ever did and am much more conscience of if i am really hungry or not. wish i had it done sooner.
  6. hi family. im about two weeks post op and doing well. no sickness, no vomiting/sliming/pb-ing, no pain. been following the doctors orders and feeling optimistic towards the future^^
  7. update re this entry.she sent me this reply: i didn't think i'd have to play my "I was a fat gurl too, and i'll tell you about how me and my other formerly fat friends took it off if you're interested. i'm talking 50- 80, and my homegurl shed 100 in one year. but none of them are you. and i am only one brilliantly unique non-obese person with her own bag of eating among other disorders--hoping like the rest of us to not be judged. if you're mind is set then i'll hold my tongue. i just wish u'd do better by ur >self<. guys... she'll hold her tongue, but she'll also get that one last sentence in, huh? whatevs. ive decided to not reply. she can talk to me in person later if she wants to, and im sure she will, despite this promise to hold her tongue. she can play and stupid card she wants, i dont care, im not playing. gah, ok, im done, no more! maybe later i will delete this "update" so i wont have it to look at later...
  8. what a good place for a blog: a place where there are only those who are goign there/have been there. ive told ONE non-obese friend about my decision to get banded and since then, she's said over and over how she doesnt approve and is not supportive. *sigh. i wish i hadnt told her until AFTER b/c i dont feel like fighting. but i'll be ok, it's less than a week away to listen to her "dont do it." i feel hope that it'll be easier to listen to, "i told you to not do it," when it's post band time. and if it gets to be too much, i will tell her firmly and plainly that she has said enough. she sent me this email: i'm rilly pushing for postpone on this band business, i've been researching and i don't see any way that it is a health plus. and there are some scary side effects too. and madam nu money 7 mil won??? more to say before you go please. i replied: this band business has been on my mind for 3 years, my mind will remain unchanged, i look forward to saturday with eagerness and optimism. but do continue to try to change my mind, ive prepared well for the battle with the non-obese, i know they think they are my ally and i will focus on their good intentions. guys, she doesnt see ANY health plus to it? confirmation that i know im right in not putting stalk in a word she says. I sent a msg to about a dozen of my like-bodied friends, all but one sent replies of congratulations and encouragement and love. these non-obese people, i want to turn my head away from them for a while.
  9. thank you for your candid entry, i enjoyed it and agree with every bit of it^^
