  1. Sounds like a good plan! Thanks for the tip. I plan to experiment for awhile to see what works best for me and, Stormy, that includes my two favorites-asparagus and pineapple
  2. What is slow about 40 pounds in 4 months? Way to go! You look fantastic :lb13:
  3. You are amazing! Don't forget, this is YOU who did it. Nobody else. What an inspiration and CONGRATULATIONS!
  4. Looking good! Keep up the good work. I hope I can say the same in 3 months! Thank you for the motivation. >
  5. I used my pre-op weight too because, to me, that's when this journey truly began! Having said that, it's YOUR ticker. You should do what you feel is representative of your journey.
  6. Hey Mari, I'm 3 weeks post and still swollen and still having gas pain. We all heal a little differently. As long as nothing is out of the ordinary, take it day by day. For me, it did get significantly better after about two weeks but, again, I'm still swollen. Hang in there!
  7. Too funny! Like Kim, I thought this was going to be a different post! However, like you too I can eat on Friday and have been plotting my meals since but, now, I'm kinda finding myself a little wary of eating. Tell you what, eating has never been as emotional as it is for me right now. I'm running the gamut here! I'm looking forward to an egg for breakfast and maybe some chicken salad on a slice of tomato for lunch but that's all the further I can get. Any veterans out there have suggestions? They would be much appreciated!
  8. Congrats to all of you who are losing weight! The finish line is not what's important, it's the distance you cross to get there! Nicolek you sure looked good when I saw you at the OCC! How is your husband doing?
  9. Hi Mari. I'm sorry to hear the gas pain is bad for you. It was the worst part of all of this for me by far. Medication and walking really didn't ease it for me. What I found most effective was lying down in bed. Experiment to find what is best for you. Good luck!
  10. Hi! Not cancer related to the band, rather related to not eating enough green vegetables. I'm just trying to figure out how to get it in. How much salad can you typically eat? I get solids on Friday and I'm trying to plan...Thank you for your help!
  11. Hi All, I read these posts a whole lot but have a question that has been bothering me...what do you all do for fruits and veggies? How do you get it all in and what seems to go down best? My two favorites, asparagus and pineapple, seem to be not very band friendly. I'm a little worried that I may lose weight with the band but become more suceptible to cancer in the process. :lb12:
