  1. Are you getting full or restriction from the band? It does sound like you may need a fill. I am in the same place and I gain a pound loose a pound sort of the yo yo that i hated before my band. I have lost about five bounds since liquids was over and that has been about 2 months. It is frustrating but don't give up.
  2. I too have encountered some problems in the US. My first doctor made me feel terriablle and was hysterical in his office. He refused to fill me after 8 weeks. He wanted to see me in 6 more weeks. I scheduled an appointment with another Doctor who I am pleased with. This doctor required an upper GI track after the nurse looked at the test she made a comment that the band I had is not the ones they used in the US. She said this is an "old" band doesn't have as much give than the newer ones. I believe by the same company maybe just the size.
  3. Tri State Bariatrics in middletown takes Mexico patients..I will be go to Dr. Singh at Albany Medical Center..Dr.Ren in manhattan was another name referred to me all in New York. I live in Kingston which is about an hour and 45 minutes North of NYC so Albany was best for me. Hope this helps.
  4. Hi I think it may have been my post....I use the Muscle milk light in chocolate with a bananna and peanut butter. I use water to make the shake and I've calculated the calories to be almost 400 calories with the peanut butter and bannana. I don't have it every day and it certainly helps with the chocolate cravings. It does keep me full. I order it from bodybuilding.com My husband is into bodybuilding so when I order his stuff I get my vitamins ad this froom there but you can get it at GNC or any of thpse stores.
  5. Your weight lose will slow down. remember your body has begun to think its not getting enough food therefore it will begin to store any calories it can. I would guess once you begin the shakes you'll be getting more calories and begin to see another couple of pounds come off. Don't be discouraged when was the last time you lost 10 pounds in two weeks? I lost 15 during my three weeks post op. I think thats average so your doing fine.
  6. Its true about the protien..especially when you are doing cardio. You don't want to burn muscle you want to burn fat. Protien is needed for muscle gain and rebuilding. Try to eat anywhere between 1200-1500 calories a day. You may want to stay around the 1400 to 15oo range when working out. as someone said earlier your body will begin to think its starving and everything slows down. You may want to alow yourself a "cheat" day and that doesn't mean you should eat garbage all day but a high calorie day "tricks" your body. You also want to change up your exercise routine. Your body is amazing and it adjusts to a familiar routine. Every two weeks change up your cardio and weight routine. A journal that calculates your calories fat and protien may benefit you. I use an online journal and i plan my meals using it the day before. By looking at your daily log you definetely didn't have enough protien and the protien you had wasn't the best. Pot roast is fatty cut of meat. You want to try and eat leaner meat. I think you may want to try a protien shake for one of your meals i find it to be the easiest way to get the right amount of protien. There are many powdered protiens out there. I have a zero carb Isopure protien that i use at night so not to have extra carbs laying around unused that will turn to fat. I see you like choclate and this happens to be one of my biggest downfalls. I use Muscl Milk ligt Chocolate protien with a bananna and a tbls of peanut butter in the morning. This shake is about 400 calories while the other is about 300 calories. In each shake a put two spoons of benefiber. The chocolate one usually fills me most of the day until about 1. I hope this helps good Luck.
  7. I just finished the creamy soup phase and i would feel full after a bout half a cup of soup. I think the soup and other liquids go through the band and the pouch fairly easy so you have to be careful not to consume too much. I'm not sure but i don't think you would stretch the pouch but too many unused calories adds up to gaining weight.
  8. Congrats....I was banded three weeks ago so i have just completed the liquid phase. I became a scale junkie because never in my life was I able to loose so much weight so quickly. The scale was a big motivator for me. I have a couple of things to add...liquid vitamin is important because you do start to feel week....B-12 vitamins that go under your tongue...and Biotin which disolves in water for your hair. I found the last couple of days to be the hardest and my willpower was tested but it is only three weeks you can do anything for three weeks if you put your mind to it. Try to kkeep busy so your not standing around bored. The last week became really hard when I was cooking meals for my family so if you can try and designate cooking to someone else. I kept myself away from gathering where there would be overwhelming temptations. You can do it best of luuck
  9. Thanks for all the helpful hints. Us newbies love to hear how to acheive great accomplishmnets. You have such a wonderful attitude and continue to be so helpful to all. Enjoy this moment there are more to come
  10. Remember if you are used to drinking coffee every morning the worst thing to do is go cold turke. Caffenine is like a drug not only will your stomach hurt but you'll probably end up with a migrane. Try to make sure you have some food in your stomach when you do drink the coffe and maybe a switch to a half decaf have regular blend may help. Before I got pregnant thats how I weened myself from the coffee. Hope you feel better soon.
  11. I had salad the first day out of my liquid phase. I ate only a couple of bites and it was a mixes green. I had only a couple bites because I was full it didn't bother me but I have heard that lettuce is hard to digest so that papaya extract may be able to help you.
  12. When i was researching several Drs sent me the link for this video. The OCC did not but its good to watch.
  13. I use muscle milk light that you can get at GNC. I put 2 scoops with water or milk add a tablespoon of peanut butter and half of bannana. Its yummy.
  14. Its funny how much thought I've put into this meal. Friday will be my first and i have not decided what to eat. I'm glad to here everyone had some restriction with eating since I was worried that without a fill you could eat as much as you wanted with out feeling it. I think I may try the scrambled eggs. Sound harmless enough.
  15. I have not had a fill yet but I have spent many years dieting so I have learned some good practices. Eating 5 small meals throughout the day is the best way to loose way healthy. Your body is able to digest the food and you convert it into energy more efficiently. When you use it up fill it up. Sort of like a gas tank. This way you don't have more calories than you need which gets stored...and I'm sure you know what happens next the scale goes up after a certain amount of unused calories is stored. So it seems to me that if you could eat 200 cal 5 times a day your doing great. Good Luck!
