  1. A little Girl!!!!!!!! Just found out and had to share!
  2. Hello. I just had a quick question. I am now 5 months pregnant. I was completly unfilled almost 2 months ago. Since being unfilled, I have been able to eat like before I was banded. But recently, since my tummy is expanding, I am having alot of restriction. Food gets stuck more and more frequently. I ma PB'ing more frequently (not morning sickness). Have any of you experienced that? I am a little concerned since my uterus is only to my belly button, whats gonna happen when it gets higher and higher? Thanks for any responses!
  3. Hello fellow lapbanders! I havent posted in quite a while. Mostly because I have been sooooo sick with so called morning sickness (24/7). I am 3 1/2 months pregnant and my doctor was concerned that the baby may get in trouble since I havent been able to keep ANYTHING down for the past 2 months. So, she sent me to the bariatric surgeon at my medical grp and he completly unfilled me yesterday. OH MY GOODNESS, I can eat! I am freaking out. I have NO restriction with food going down. But, I do feel full after I eat. I am SOOO scared I am going to gain my weight back. I know its important to gain wt for the baby... BUT, come on, I can eat! ANY advice would be greatly appreciated.
  4. Can you please tell us the name of it and where she bought it. Thanks!
  5. Heidi- Thank You! I started crying when I was reading your response. It must be the hormones! As far as morning sickness goes- I dont know if its my band or if its morning sickness. When I would PB before it was from above the band. But now, its from below. So I am guessing its mornig sickness! Just praying I dont miscarry.
  6. Hi. I use Billy Banks Tai Bo. And then I do Zumba. I love both of them.
  7. Thanks everyone. I think I am still in disbelief. My OB doesn't see pt's till after the 8th week. I spoke to her today because I am having some cramping. I wasn't too impressed with her. I told her I was banded and she immediately said that I should have waited for 1 year before getting pregnant. I felt like I was being scolded. Then she went on to say that she was going to refer me to a High Risk OB because I was banded. Well, if that meant that I wouldn't have to see her, I am all for it. Are any of the other mom to be's going to a high risk OB?
  8. I was banded 4 months ago. I have lost over 50lbs. I have been married 11 years and now, finally am pregnant. The main reason I got banded was to help me get pregnant. I am 5 weeks today. I am soooo excited and extremely terrified! I keep having awful thoughts that I am going to miscarry. I have read in a couple of places that people with lapbands have higher incidences of miscarriage. Has anybody heard that? If so, do you know why? I am praying for a healthy pregnancy and would love if all of you would also say a quick prayer for me. Thank you!
  9. Hi everyone. Well, today I went to the dept store to find some clothes. I picked out sizes that I would normally wear in the Womens section. To my SUPRISE, they dont fit. Not only do they not fit, there smallest size of 14 is baggy on me. I absolutely CAN NOT believe it. I was in such a state of shock, the sales lady went and grabbed clothes from the Regular sizes for me and they fit!!!!! I didnt buy anything. Instead, I rushed home and picked up my gym bag and went to the gym. I have now found a great motivater for me. Every time I dont feel like going to the gym, I will think back on this day that the Womens sizes didnt fit anymore. A great victory since tomorrow is my 4 month anniversary.
  10. Congragulations! You look absolutely wonderful!OMG has it really been 4 months!!!??? I cant believe it, since I was banded a day after you. It has just flown by, hasnt it?
  11. I absolutely LOVE your philosophy and attitude. You are truely an inspiration! Thank you for your wonderful post.
  12. Hi, this is something I am certainly worried about. I was told to take prenatal vitamins even if your not planning on getting pregnant. Prenatals normally have more in them in order to get ready for pregnancy, vitamins for the baby and vitamins after you give birth. This extra amount may help after being banded. Has anyone else heard this?
  13. Sabrina- That is pretty much what I eat daily. Of coarse I eat different things here and there. But I guess I dont think of it as dieting because I dont get that hungry. I am sure I would have gotten results eating this way without the band. BUT... I wouldnt be able to just eat these without the band. I would eat a whole lot more. My problem seems to be that when the foods there, I still feel like I need to finish it. I still havent mastered stopping because im full. I am still working on that.
  14. Thanks you guys. For some reason, I couldnt see any replies to this post until today. I could only see my own post. Anyway- Kim- Thank you. I hope pounds have melted away since you replied to this since you said you were stuck. I hope the pounds & inches melt away on all of us!
