Hey Mala, I will be there with my husband on March 6th-8th and he is getting his 1st fill. Everything is safe never once did we feel that we couldn't go anywhere walking. Just beware of surroundings and you'll do fine. I didn't see anything that you would see in your own town. Going down town with a taxi is a bit different but shopping during the day is nice. We walked everywhere even a little in the dark and no one bothered us at all. Have a great time.Don't let anyone scare you at all. Perfectly safe. Danester

Alla I seen you are going the week of March 9th. When do you plan on getting there? well We are going back for my husband Dane's 1st fill on March 7th but We'll be at the hotel the day of March 6th. But yea having a day before surgery and a day after is great. We stayed for a total of 4 days. If you are flying to and from. The day you fly from San Diego just mention to the staff when you are at the baording counter before hand and tell them you've had surgery and can't walk to far you might get a free upgrade to 1st class like we did. He was in alot of pain on the way home. The 1st class seats are so much bigger and comfortable for you and your compainion they will get a breakfast and nice one too. Just a little thought of advise. on the other changing flights don't hesaite to ask them for a seat change closer to the front. I told them he can't be elbowed either that i had to sit with him. But if your going to be there the same day and times let us know we can hook up ? We are going back for a mini vaction to go shopping and etc. Carolyn and Dane

Hey ckicki, I don't see why not. I think it would be ok since your in a private place just ask the receptionist to watch her while you go back. Just make sure you have a birth certificate and a note from her father saying you can take her out of country also you need a picture ID of her also. This is what I have been told if I were to take my child or children out of country. Cause without proper ID of her you may not be able to get her back across the border. If you don't have a note from her father they most likely will think your trying to take her or kidnapp her. Cause border patrol will not take anything lightly. Lawanda, We were in the same boat as you are. My husband Dane had sugery on 12/30/2008. We looked at doing fluoro for the 1st one and then going to the USA fill center for the rest of his fills. As the closest one Fill center is New Jersey from ohio with fluoro. So we chose to go back just ot make sure everything is going good. Which is very important to us as the money we spent out of pocket is something we can't afford to pay again for. Dr. Martinez recommends you need to get the 1st one under floro to get the right fill the 1st time. So far it's the best route for us to go. They can be more aggressive with you under fluoro then with a blind fill. We feel so more confident going back to the OCC then going in blind the 1st fill. I was told they only do fills under fluoro so yes it's a 100. and You need you DL and birth certificate to get back across the border. I don't think they do blind fills as fas as I know. Hi Christy I just got back home from being in Mexico at the OCC and lucerna hotel. We had to leave the hotel by the OCC private taxi at 7am. Everyone who has surgery on that date all goes together and does take a few trips. So that is why they have you coming the night before surgery and they do the bloodwork if you get to the office before they close and then they do the iv's getting them started and a heart test and lung fuction test. Forgive me If i don't type quite right. I just got back home with my husband who just had his done on Dec 30th. So you better give them a call. They had everyone done by 2-3pm I believe. A group of us all went together to get something to eat so no one went alone there. I hope this helps

Hey How cool. My husband is having surgery on Dec 30th too. Maybe we can meet up. Are you going to Tuijana too with Dr. Martinez? You might just want to keep drinking the protien shakes. I haven't seen anyone else on here that is having there surgery on Dec 30th. We are coming in on Dec 29th. So Hey just let me know maybe we can meet up before surgey. Hi Sherry, I am from ohio too. My husband is set up to have his surgery dec 30th. Dr.Curry in Cinninati does them and they work with dr.ortiz and martinez to get ya set up for a fill before you leave the clinic. I think that is what my husband and I are going to go for his fills. Or you could go up to the Fill USA in Michigan they do them too. Carolyn

Hi I am new here. Just like everyone here at one time or another. Well my Husband Dane is getting his surgery on the Dec 30th and we are arriving on the Dec 29th. We will be going home the 1st. So SheRee I might run into you. I hope everything turns out well for you and surgery goes smoothly Carolyn
