Hi, I`m quite sure i have a lap band leak all fills i had are now leaking,i emailed occ for suggestions on where and how to find omnipaque in my country, however no reply from Rene, any suggestions on where and how to find it. I have no lap band doctors in the current country of residence, a doctor does my fills under flurscopy however there is a leak, as i am losing liquid, would omnipaque fix this? Thanks Shady

i am in Tijuana right now, it is perfectly fine and safe, there van picks you up from airport and takes to the hotel, i am staying at marriot and so far so good, the clinic is 15 min drive pretty safe and sound, there are many bandsters around and you can make friends too.

This is a thread dedicated to wonderful ppl that i had met today, we were 7 who got banded, since all of us 7 will start this journey the same day and we are all now banded, it would be a great special support group of each other. i will keep this thread updated, right now in the hotel and just relaxing, though anesthesia wants me to sleep i am fighting it so i sleep at night thanks btw i`m doing great by God's grace, very very little pain, infact discomfort scars are small, port area i can feel thanks

got banded today, feel great, i am at the hotel now enjoying, this has been a great experience, still have minor gas pains, taking gas-x Dr. Ortiz was great, told me being a guy i should expect faster weight loss so i`m very very happy, Alicia, hope you are doing well, are you still at the clinic? recover well and God bless you, and every one banded there today, wow they had 7 patients today.

Hi I use flightcenter.ca it costed me $1532 CAD for me and my wife to tavel toronto to san diego and return, quite expensive!!

Being banded soon, worried i dont have a aftercase doctor or any one who would do the fil. I live in te greater toronto area, any canadian bandsters can share with me if any doctors in your area or tornto area gives after care. I know Dr. Chris charges $5000 for the aftercase which is frankly ridiculous. Thanks

Hi, getting banded in two weeks by Dr. Ortiz, wondering what life after lap band would be. First stage is ofcourse 21 day liquid diet. Now i`m wondering what will i be able to drink in the first 21 days , can i drink juices, soups, protein shakes? what physical activity can i do? can i play table tennis? Thanks

babe, Thank you for the information, much appreciated. those of you who do not have a U.S passport, or U.S citizenship, preferably canadian, did you guys have any problems going back from mexico to sandiego, U.S for your flight? i have heard there are huge lines, i am getting a flight at 6:30 am out of sandiego. Julie, The preop diet is going good, that is no a problem right now, however i can't smoke and being a chain smoker this is the most difficult thing, my head is spining, i cant eat, cant smoke so its getting very very difficult. Hi there from Toronto, Canada I am scheduled for a surgery with Dr. Ortiz on 26th Feb 09. I gave up smoking today, till the surgery and am on liquid diet. Now I want to know how do i fly from toronto directly to tjuana? is there a direct flight? does tjuana have an international or domestic airport? If i fly into another city in mexico direct and then change planes to go to tjuan that is also acceptable. Some one please help me. Flights from toronto to sandiego are very very long, and the times are super odd, and require changing of plane.s Thanks
