  1. It's Wednesday, where is everybody? So today I weighed in at 231. So that's down 1.5 from last week. I'll take it.
  2. Maybe if I sign up to do this..........maybe I will be more accountable???? 232.5 and haven't moved in 4 weeks. I like Sabrina think I may be too tight. But unlike Sabrina, haven't gotten my butt off the couch.
  3. I have had 3 fills and this last one is tough. Some days I can eat okay, some days I can't. Lately, I have resorted to slider foods as well. Frozen Yogurt is my best friend right now. I'm not eating the same as my family because I can't do the tortillas, bread, or even meat right now. It gets very frustrating. There are some days when I just want to cry because I'm so hungry and just want to eat some "Real Food". Then, I remember, this too shall pass and it does. I agree though. It can be frustrating. Hang in there.
  4. I was a Diet Pepsi drinker for 20 years, but once I got the band, I quit. It was so hard since I was addicted, but I just didn't want to ruin my investment. Not to mention, it's just bad for ya.

  6. Has this happened to anyone else? I got a fill over a week ago, felt great. Then Friday and Saturday, I couldn't eat a thing, but I could drink as long as I did it slow. Then yesterday, I didn't feel as tight so I was able to eat a little bit. I honestly thought I would have to have an emergency unfil because my band was so tight it I could barely swallow my own saliva. Today I feel fine and will take it easy again. I didn't know that even after a week that my band would tighten up so much. Is that normal?
  7. How do you know if your pouch is stretched? Are there signs like there are with an overfill like vomiting etc?

  9. Angie B. Normally I would eat: B Sliim Fast Protein Bar S Slim fast Protein Shake L some sort of Lean Cuisine Something D maybe a chicken breast with corn or some other veggie. Never any bread, can't do it. I guess I just want to know what "Restriction" is? Is that the same thing as getting stuck? Of course, that's when I stop.
  10. I just had my 3rd fill a couple of weeks ago. I have a total of 1.8 total in my band. On my ID card from is says 10.0 c.m. I'm guessing that to mean I have the 10 instead of the 4 everyone talks about. So here is my question. Dr. Acosta said that this should be it for me, I should be fine with the fill and actually, he was nervous about the amount he put in and had me wait around in the office just to make sure I could drink okay. Problem is though, I still don't feel like it's enough. I do get stuck when I eat too big of a bite, or don't chew enough, but as far as feeling full, not so much. Any help would be great.

  13. Does anyone else read some of these and think to themselves "dang, I eat way more than that"? Here is my example from yesterday B- Slim Fast Bar 220 calories S- Slim Fast Protein Shake 190 calories L- turkey patty and 3/4 c. cottage cheese s- string cheese D- beef taco with cheese It just seems like most people are getting by on very little. I've had 3 fills, what the heck?

  15. I have no advise except to tell ya that I haven't even had an unfull yet but for some reason I have been eating horribly this past week. Just try to hold on. Your right though, after your fill those 6 pounds will come right off. Hang in there. This San Diego weather doesn't help either.
