  1. Am just wondering if anyone is using the wii fit or any games to exercise. I find it super great especially the free step and basic steps in wii fit! Not too strenuous especially for newly banded patients. And for those who are not newly banded, there are so many great programs including yoga, advance steps, even tennis, baseball, etc...It even monitors your weight (the wii fit) ! It makes you set a weight loss goal and tracks it. Wii is great! I am not even into video game consoles. Actually this is my first one. I figured I'd try it because everyone I talked to talked so highly about it. No regrets. It's awesome. It has something for everyone.
  2. Thanks guys for your input. I am not feeling ill. I am just concerned about the pouch. Actually, I have had a great post-op recovery. Not much pain except for once in a while shoulder pain and sharp pain around the port area but that;s it.
  3. I was rereading the instructions today (day 7 of surgery) and I just noticed that I am only supposed to be drinking 1/2 a cup at a time. I think I have drank more than 1/2 a cup of clear liquid at a time. Should I be concerned? I am just worried that I might have stretched my pouch.
  4. Here is my progress http://michelle135.blogspot.com/ check it out!
  5. I saw this too...they have one opening in Deland, FL too but I am too scared because they are still in "training" especially for my first fill.
  6. ] Thanks Jenelle! Everyone here is such a great support!
  7. I am finally banded! It's true that the OCC has the best staff! I made a blogspot to jot down my experience. Feel free to check it out... http://michelle135.blogspot.com/
  8. We were thinking of driving to vegas...Do you think it is too much after surgery? or would it be okay and have a nice drive to vegas ( I will be driving)? Basically, here is the itinerary I am planning: April 16 - surgery apr 17 - release from OCC, then head to revolutionary ave for some shopping april 18 - check out from hotel in the AM then head to the airport to get the rental car, then drive to vegas Apr 18 - get to vegas, just walk the strip, sightseeing, stay in hotel for the night april 19- hotel checkout in the AM then drive back to san diego April 19 to april 20 - go around san diego April 20 at night - flight back to FL What do you think? Is it too much for newly banded patient? What about you, what did you do after your surgery? Did you stay in San Diego? What did you do? Thanks for your input in advance.

  10. I will be having my pre-op evals and surgery on the same day. I just want to hear the experience of those who went through the same thing. What time did they pick you up from the hotel? We will be staying at Hotel Lucerna. How long was the pre-op eval? What time did you have your surgery? What time were you released the next day? Thanks for the info!
