  1. :-h Hello Washington bandters! I have read all of the your post's and I think it is about time that I say Hi! I read all the post before I was banded and thought how nice it will be to have a support group once banded. Well that time has come. I was banded by Dr. Ortiz on 2/27/07. Everything went really well and I can't believe that after all the pre-op stuff I am banded! It all went so fast. Tomorrow is my first day that I and eat real food again. And I have to tell you I don't know where to start. After not eating "normal" foods for about 6 weeks it is hard. What did everyone else start with? Did you fine any foods that you could just not eat? Well I just wanted to say hello. I would love to meet with all of you when you have your next meeting. I live in Vancouver, WA so it would be a drive to come up there but well worth it. I have a friend that I can stay with in Lacey WA. I look forward to meeting all of you! Christy in Vancouver WA
  2. Dear Judy, I just wanted to let you know that I just made an apt for my first fill today. I had surgery on 2/27/07 with Dr. Ortiz and everything went great. Dr. Ortiz came in and was talking with me right before the surgery and he told me that he knew of a great fill Dr. in Portland. Before he could even say her name I said Dr. Fitzpatrick? He said yes! He highly recommended her for anyone that can go to her. I was so happy to hear this. It set my mind at ease that I have a great fill Dr. for my aftercare. Please feel free to ask me any questions that you might have. I'm only almost 4 weeks out so everything is fresh in my head. Best of luck! You will do great! ~Christy~ In Vancouver WA
  3. Kristy_wa Wow it is funny that your name is Kristy and you are also from WA and getting banded two days apart. Where do you live in WA? I am from Vancouver. I hope to see you while down there, and I wish you the best of luck with your surgery. I will be arriving on the 27th at about 11:00 AM. How is the pr-opt diet going for you? I am having a hard time getting everything together before I leave. I am moving in to a new place and having to get ready for it all before the 26th. In some ways it is a good thing because it keeps my mind off of everything else. Christy In Vancouver WA
  4. Paint It Black~ I would just like to thank you for your great post. I think it is almost the most helpful post I have read...and I have read a lot. It was great how you walked us through it all step by step. I have not been banded yet, but my day is coming up fast... 2/28/07! I hope that your journey keeps on a great path... congrats! Thanks Christy >
  5. :-h Hello to all the February patients! I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. My name is Christy and I will be getting banded on 2/28. I am looking forward to everything that comes with this new journey. I would love to hear if anyone else will be banded on or right near the 28th. I will be heading down on Tuesday the 27th and plan to get settled in before the big day. My mother and grandmother will be coming with me for support. I needed my mom for support and I think my mother needed her mom to support her while I'm in surgery. I hope to hear from someone else getting banded on the 28th! Christy 2/28/07 250/234/140ish
