Just back from visiting my family and gues what I heard " WoW , you have lost weight" Great right , my Mom say : WOW you have lost too much weight , You look like a ugly SKINNY "! and then I heard it again from someone else ???? WTF ? after all the things I have been through , I AM a UGLY SKINNY , WHAT???

Isn't it amazing how some of our biggest critics can be our closest family members?? It hurts to hear comments like that, I know. Sometimes its even difficult to hear someone speaking of our weight in general, whether its something good or bad, but what really matters is what we think of ourselves.

I've had mine since 2006, what's up? Look for Pammie, she's a 2006 er as well. DoLittle and actually there are many still on that had theres put in around that time.

What was wrong with your band ? Something must have gone wrong with it , if it was removed 7 yrs later ? OMG i thought it would be 4sure thing if I haven't had any issue thus far ? ID die !

Hi, If you contact Alice Baal at abaal@telus.net she'll be able to help you. She's had the lapband with Dr. Ortiz and is also a bookkeeper with oodles of experience claiming lapbands on income tax. I'll email her and let her know that you might be contacting her. Hope this helps!

Yes you can claim the medical on your income tax in Canada as well as the travel costs. I did it for more than one person. Gave me a nice tax refund this year. I can do it for you by emailing me at abaal@telus.net or you can do it yourself by reasearching the CRA website.

First I like to say I Love my Band. I have been banded for almost a year but I still have ?'s. I have 4cc in my band that really didn't change my feeling of restriction. From the beginning , it was hit or miss, meaning sometimes i have restriction and sometimes i don't and sometimes I have a hard time drinking water. I got a fill because I was told that i should get a fill . It really didn't change a thing. I was hoping it would stabilize my fluctuating state but it never did. I have spoken to Dr. So when I was first banded and I had a hard month of not being able to eat anything but then i stabilized somewhat. I have tried to follow the Doctors instruction to the T, and I think I have done well. The reason for this outcall is.... Has anyone else had similar situation? I have learned when I can eat and when I can't eat and I go with it, but their where times that i couldn't keep anything down and the washroom is where i lived. My restriction varies day to day, usually the week before my period I can NOt eat a thing or barely drink . The rest of the time it's day to day. I don't understand the need to get a fill and I don't understand why my restriction fluctuates. I also had a MAJOR issue with my hair following out, I started taking a Liquid multi with a liquid iron and liquid silica with b12/6 pills ( when I can swallow) That seemed to cure my hair loss.2 weeks ago I notice my hair following out again and trust me I can't afford anymore more hair loss. I rather be FAT with Hair than Thin without Hair ! Anyhow here are a few things that make me say , "Hmm".

I went to GNC and told them what I wanted to do. The guy there showed me a protein shake that was "lean". I told him I wanted it low in carbs and calories. This comes in the form of a powder so I mix it with Crystal light in my magic bullet and I have a smoothie.

I am currently using the "Super Whey" Protein bullet by Body Foretress. It is a 2.9 oz liquid shot that is fruit flavored and has 26 g of protein, 0 sugar and 0 fat. Has 110 calories. I purchase it at Walmart.

I use that too. I don't really like the taste so sometimes I put it in a smoothie. If I don't have the smoothie I just pretend it's medicine and gulp it. Yup, I got it at Walmart too.That's a lot of protein and low calories. I have one in my lunch bag right now.

Thank you, I look at people like you and I am SOO Happy that this is really happening ! I am very proud of myself so far, the last few months have been abit slow but I have realized that i have to start working out harder. For yourself , keep up the GREAT WORK !!

I have tried to change a few things but nothing. I will lose 3 -5 lbs and WHAM it come back ! my body is pissing me off ! 3 months of summer and I have lost nothing, ok not nothing 5lbs but i should have lost at least 25lbs ! Arrrg ! Enchanted piano , why the sleeve do you have the band ? -
I have kept to a great meal routine and was losing weight . For the last 3 months NOTHING , now what ? I' am thinking I should go on a 2 week liquid diet . Help ?
