  1. Hi, There is a woman on lapbandtalk.com that will e-mail you her excel file. I'm trying to download it now......but just don't feel right about sending you it without her permission. She has a fairly recent thread online indicating that if you send her a private message, she will send it to you. It looks good. I personally use fitday.com.......it doesn't use excel, but graphs things nicely. Kathy
  2. Anyone traveling this Saturday, January 6th? I will be arriving in San Diego on Amtrak and then taking the Blue Line trolley to San Ysidoro. Have not done this before.....but it seems straight forward enough. My appointment is at 1pm at OCC. Kathy
  3. Hi Kristi, Right now, I think we are probably driving to TJ. We live nearby and my husband has relatives in Mexico near TJ, so we will likely just drive over the border and spend the evening there. I'll let you know if I change my mind and come down there alone as then I would park someplace in San Diego. Perhaps I'll see you at the clinic on the 5th.........although I've been having some problems lately and am back on liquids (one day of "real food" post-band did not go well and Dr. Martinez has asked me to go back to liquids for a week). I may head down anyway, even if I'm not ready for a fill, just to have the doctors look at my band and assure me that it did not slip and all is good. I'll post before 1/5 and let you know my final plans. Kathy
  4. Hi, I had the same pain. The good news is that it did not last long. I just hit 2 weeks post-op yesterday and it was gone by then..........actually a little earlier than that -- although I can't recall when I stopped noticing it. One thing that helped me was holding the port in place (placing my hand over the port area on my abdomen) while I got up out of bed. This is similar to holding a pillow to your abdomen, which I was taught while recovering from a c-section. Good luck.......the pain should end shortly. Kathy
  5. Hello all, I'll be in TJ on Saturday, January 6th for my first fill. I will probably arrive that day and stay at the Lucerna that evening as my husband's family lives in the area and will be celebrating D
  6. No neck rub and no photo op!! I was with my husband and got up to walk before the nurses realized it I think. So, perhaps I missed out! The only photo I had taken was the one for the ID card they give you before you leave. Kathy
  7. Hello all, I've been banded! My surgery was yesterday, Thanksgiving Day, down here in Mexico with Dr. Ortiz. I feel great. The first hours were tough with all the gas pains. That seems to be getting better. Now, I'm just working on getting dismissed from here so I can go outside for a walk (and shopping!). Hope you are all doing well. Kathy
  8. Hi Kristi, I'll probably see you as I leave on the 24th. The pre-op diet is actually getting easier for me. Hope it is getting easier for you as well. I think I'm getting used to eating smaller quantities, so it is not such a shock to my system anymore. I've been drinking a lot of tea and that probably keeps me feeling full as well. This pre-op diet was quite a shock to my system since I gave up eating so much as well as diet coke. I'm feeling better without it all now though. I'm down 9 pounds......still hope to lose a few more before my surgery on Thursday. I had a chance to visit the clinic a week ago (I'm in Southern California) to see things and just make sure I felt comfortable having surgery in MX. I did not feel nervous anymore after the visit. I'm looking forward to it. See you in TJ! Kathy
  9. Hi everyone, I'm new to this board. My surgery date is 11/23........Thanksgiving!! I thought it would give me a couple extra days off of work if I did it during a holiday weekend. Anyway, I'm nervous and excited. Kathy
