Just got banded about 8 hours ago. My father and I both had the surgery and all went very well. Cant say enough about the Doctors and Staff. I am now thankful (was pissed off) that my US insurance would not approve the procedure or I wouldnt have found the OCC Team. If you are considering this procedure please do your self and family a favor and schedule it with OCC in TJ Mexico.... Cleanest facality and friendliest staff. The US media has this all wrong as well. Not once have I felt unsafe. Just use common since as you would in traveling in some of your local areas. I am scheduled to be banded at the end of this month. I will be having it on Monday and flying back on Wednesday. I have about six hours of flying and of course a lay over in Atlanta. Total trip is about 8 hours each way. Just curious on any tips or issues.... Thanks

Thanks so much, that puts me more at ease. Can you tell me how long it took you at the border and what to expect? I hear it takes 2 to 3 hours?? this will be a first for me....thanks again

I am scheduled at the end of this month. I am growing more concerned with recent news stories about border violence at the borders. TJ is aleays painted as a war zone and now the recent government travel warning I just dont no what to expect. I am interested to hear from anyone that has visited OCC from san diego airport in the past 60 days or so. I am so impressed with DR. Ortiz and OCC staff and know I found the right place for me. I am most concerned with travel to hotel lucerna and OCC. Any input would be appreciated..... THANKS
