  1. I never knew this could happen. I am always hot and live in So. Calif. I never wear a jacket or sleep with blankets. Being cold is a weird concept for me to understand.
  2. I will be having revision surgery on January 27, 2014. Anyone else having surgery that day?
  3. Having revision surgery on 1-27-14. Castric Band to Gastric Sleeve.

Awesome! I just did revision in November.

  4. How long do you have to on liquids? How much weight have you lost? Do you feel hunger pain? Were you in any pain after surgery?
  5. This road is an uphill struggle.

  6. I hate my lap band. Done by Ortiz in TJ. No matter how many fills, I either can eat all I want or I am stuck, vomiting, slimimg up crap, in pain and miserable. There is no sweet spot, no perfect fill for me. Not sure I would do it over again if I went back.
  7. WHAT THE???? YOU ARE PREGNANT? I am absolutely shocked.
  8. Sherri, I'm not sure if your fill is too tight or not, but I know that when my fill has been too tight, I can not get any protein down at all. I would get stuck and throw up with even one bite, so maybe you are ok for now?
  9. I know this was written over a year ago........but I have never, ever, ever, heard of planning on gaining no weight while pregnant or very little. My daughter is 6 months pregnant right now and I have been to many of her doctor visits and this is not what her doctor says.
  10. Do you mean B-12 5000 mcg or 25000 mcg or 2500 mcg? Also does the brand have to be Puritan Pride?
  11. Thank you Canuk. I'm 10 months post op and my hair is half of what it used to be thickness wise. I will check those out.
  12. I would think they would cost the same as the same procedure is basically done using fluoroscope.
  13. I was told by staff in Mexico to wait one month.
  14. I am truly happy for all of your successes. Personally, I have stopped coming to this forum for a while because those of you who have lost 100+ pounds are the only ones posting. Is anyone else out there struggling? I have found the whole process of lap band surgery in Mexico to be one LONG, HARD journey. Nothing about it is easy. I didn't get to be obese because I was healthy emotionally. I am still the same person as I was before surgery with the same issues and addiction to food. There are no follow ups or care for how one is doing psychologically. Some of us aren't strong enough to "take the bull by the horns". If I understood how to utilize hard work and determination within me, every diet I ever tried would have worked. I don't know of any support groups. I have no family members or friends who are overweight and I am just out here drowning alone. It has been 10 months since lap band surgery and I have lost 55 lbs. I have about 88 lbs to go still. My knees are killing me so excercise is hard and painful. After how much weight loss were you able to excercise Kristi?
  15. OMG I miss you so much. Ive been thinking of you every day. My weight is not good, it's the same. I don't look marvelous. I will call you tomorrow. I almost called you yesterday! Miss you.

  16. Respectfully to Dolittle, Living with the loose skin is an option too. This type of plastic surgery leaves large, unsightly scars.
  17. I'm glad this was brought up! I get this after I've eaten and I thought something was wrong. I feel it in my stomach. Glad to know it's ok.
  18. Lindsay, I was wondering if your avatar of the body builder woman is you?

  19. Are you serious? 500-800 calories a day? That seems upsurd to me. I have never heard a doctor say this is okay. Think about it....500 calories a day for an adult woman?
  20. Christy, I can really relate to this post. Thank you for sharing. I was banded 2 days after you. You were probably leaving as I was coming to the OCC. I too feel like a loser at times. The issues at hand are so much more complicated than "Why would you eat more than you should?" We obviously became over weight because we have issues with food that are very difficult to get past. I understand what you were going through. I'm really happy that you are feeling better now!!!
  21. Linda, I'm sorry for your pain and your losses. Thank you for sharing honestly about your struggles. You look amazing and you ARE fabulous at 50!!! It's great you are back on track. I know you will have a better year this year, hang in there girl!
  22. I am struggling big time with hair loss and I'm FREAKING OUT!!! I will look up that product. I was banded just a few days before you Bev.
  23. Lisa, I used the link and ordered my Isopure protein too!
  24. Thank you Dama! So nice of you to bump this up! I knew I had read about this before on the forum. I am feeling less freaked out knowing I am not alone. Everyone's comments are very helpful to me!
