I am doing good. I had my stitches removed by my regular gp. Yes I flew home, 3 hour flight and then 5 hour car ride home. Flight wasn't too bad car ride was a little longer but not too bad. We were in Mexico for a week. We stayed at the Marriott, it is a good hotel, their shuttle takes you back and forth to OCC whenever you need it. You get a cheaper rate when OCC books your room, thee restaurant gives you a discount if you are staying with them. I had dressings changed everyday and that costs about 20 dollars a day. Takes lots of cash, OCC charges 4% if you use credit cards. I highly advise that you take someone with you, as it is hard to get up and down out of bed for the first few days, and you can't carry anything- like suitcases. I will try to get pics on but I am a little bit tech tarded. Feel free to ask anymore questions.

I stayed in the clinic overnight and then stayed in the hotel for a week. I had 2 drains in front and 2 drains in back, and one under each breast. My husband took the last four drains out, basically just cut the stitch and pull the tube out. I am on tylenol now. I hated the feeling of being on narcotics so I switched. There isn't a lot of pain on the back ( it feels more numb than anything) mostly the front from the muscle repair. I am going to get the stitches out tomorrow, not looking forward to that. Want to be feeling back to normal but I think that will be awhile.

I am finally home. It is day 9 and still pretty sore. I still have 4 of the 6 drains in which is a real bummer but I guess its better than developing a seroma later on. I am still bandaged(wrapped) around the stomach they gave me a compression garment to wear after the drains are out. I do have the drains out from the breasts and have that garment on, its way better than the being wrapped. Every day gets a little better, hope it keeps going that way!

Yes I got to see my belly it looks amazing I have never had a belly so flat. I am very happy with the scars they look great and they are low, and not ragged looking at all. My husband says it all looks great and can't believe how good it looks. I will probably get the drains out on Monday as they are not open on sunday, so i will have to put up with them for a few more days.

I am on day 4 after my circular tummy tuck and breast lift with implants. I am feeling better today, the first 3 days were a little rough. But every day should get a little better. They are very caring at OCC. you can't go wrong having surgery there. I go every day to get the bandages changed and every doctor that works there stops and asks how you are and visits. I can't wait to get the drains out, they are the biggest pain in the butt.
  6. Thanks,I will keep you posted. I am flying from Canada, so yes I may still have drains in. Christi your pictures look awesome, looks like dr. did a great job.
  7. 5 days until the big day, very nervous and excited, I haven't found much information on Dr Calderon which worries me a little but I trust OCC. Christie you have been a great help as your the only one on here that has had surgery with him. How are you doing now?
  8. I am from Saskatchewan,I can't tell you anything about the sleeve surgery as I had the plication surgery done last Dec at OCC. It was a great experience going there and would do it again if I had to. They are very professional and no need to be scared. I am going down there in a week for some plastic surgery.
  9. Christie, Thanks for the update. I am not feeling as nervous as last week. I am actually getting excited seems like Nov. may never get here. Did you go back to the clinic everyday to get things checked out or did the clinic call . I can't believe that you felt good enough to go out and eat in restaurants, thats great. I hope that I feel as good as you did.
  10. I am booked for a circular tummy tuck (body lift) and breast lift. I am thinking that i will not be feeling as good as you, but I sure hope so. Now that I am booked I am scared as hell, but i am sure that feeling will pass too.
  11. Glad to hear that your doing well. After your surgery did you just stay in your room or were you able to walk around anywhere?
  12. You have been so helpful that I have sent my pictures in and waiting for a reply. I hope that I have good luck just like you. Thanks for posting!
  13. Was wondering how you are doing now? Haven't seen any posts in awhile?
  14. Thanks for the update. Do you have much pain anymore?
  15. Thanks for the update. I am considering going down there too. How long are you staying down there? My fear is the uncomfortable plane ride back home? Keep updating?
  16. Yes please update us. I am considering going down for some ps and would like to hear more info on this doctor.
  17. I am interested in tummy tuck surgery in mexico, but am concerned about how much pain there will be as I would have a 3.5 hour flight back to Canada and then a 5 hour drive back home. Can anyone else with 3-4 hour flights home tell me how bad it would be. Surgery in Canada costs way too much.
  18. My weight loss has been very slow too. I felt really down and out for the longest time, but gradually have gotten used to the fact that I am just a slow loser. My weight loss comes to a halt for weeks and then slowly a few pounds comes and then halts again. Its very frustrating when you read how fast the weight comes off for some people. But hang in there.
  19. Go to the web site and try the 5 day pouch test to help get you back on track. I am trying this right now just to get me back to basics again.
  20. You really did well losing 68 lbs. I am 5 months out and have only lost 32 lbs. Its been very slow for me but thats always how any weight loss diet has been for me in the past. Its very frustrating but have had to learn to be patient.
  21. I am 6 weeks since plication. The last 4 days my stomach has been making lots of gurgling sounds, they aren't painful just sounds funny. Does any body know what that is?
  22. not very happy with the results!!!

Was the weight loss this slow for you too? Just getting discouraged lots of people on here seem to lose so much weight so quickly.

Hey, I'm about 40 days out from plication and I feel like it could be going faster too. I'm down 21 pounds. If I look at the scale and at least it's going down, I'm happy. Started at 211 and I'm 190 so, well get there :)

I agree, don't weigh everyday...once a week or every other. That way you will give yourself a break from let down everyday.... :) smile

  23. I had the plication done dec 2. I am feeling great. No heartburn, i haven't been sick My reasons were: I would have a five hour drive to the nearest city that would do fills, so there isn't the extra expense for travelling and paying for the fills. Plication is also reversible if it was needed. It seems that a lot of people slip their bands and that won't happen with plication. Hope this helps you out.
  24. That pain is gone, I don't know what caused it. I had caught a cold and was coughing a lot maybe had something to do with it, not sure. Have no strange pains anymore.
