Dear Lizzy, hi! I too live in the Boston area and I am considering getting banded--in fact, it seems my only option to get this weight off! Have you found a Boston doc who will work with you, keeping track of your band as well as doing your fills? Fills are one thing, but erosion, slippage, etc would require a local doc. Or, I guess, a flight back to Mexioc. What do you think? And how has the weight loss progressed?

Dear Bandsters, Is anyone able to suggest a doctor in the Boston area who can be a fill doctor and emergency doctor? I plan to get banded in Mexico, but do want someone near home who I can see in the event of an emergency, etc. Any ideas?

this is my first post, and I have not yet had band surgery but I am seriously thinking I will proceed after the first of the year. I am looking at two places in Mexico. But, I live near Boston and need a local doctor so I will feel secure in the event of acid reflux, twisting, infections, whatever. Does anyone use a Boston area doctor for fills and follow up? my bmi is 32/33, so I cannot use insurance and go to a USA doc. I will be self pay, and going to Mexico for fills will be too time consuming and expensive--and I have two teenagers. Any ideas?
