  1. My acid reflux has gotten so bad I am having a endoscopy done on Thursday. I have not been able to consume liquids or any food for over a week and have been the E.R. It is far too painful to consume anything...I'll keep you posted! I have been avoiding any caffeine, spicy foods, citrus from day 1....
  2. I was wondering if anyone has been suffering from Acid Reflux/Heartburn since their surgery. I have not had a problem pre-op. What have you used to help? I have Acid Reflux constantly--not even after eating or drinking anything.
  3. starting to get an appetite! eek!

yikes...I don't think mine every went away. Now that the inflammation has gone down I have NO restriction in my band and it's NOT GOOD. Stuck at my weight. Kicked butt at the gym today, hopefully that will help. Good luck

  4. What kind of soups did you all find to be the best? Or what else did you find yourself healthily eating?
  5. I'm 7 days post-op and was wondering if anyone else had this problem--my biggest incision on the left side of my stomach is still pretty sore/tender. When I stretch or move in a certain way, I have pain under the incision...I'm not too sure if it's the incision itself or my stomach. It makes me a little nervous. What do you guys think?
  6. I just got back from having the plication sugery. The facility was very clean and the staff was nice and caring. However, I wish I were able to speak to the doctor at more length, that felt a little rushed. I reacted to the anesthesia as I had predicted, I was an absolute FREAK when I woke up. I was so whacked out that I assumed the gas build up was a heart attack and was yelling at everyone, luckily the staff was so professional and kind they calmed me down and checked in on me. I didn't vomit at all, although I did have naseau the first and second days (had surgery on the 11th). I'm still having gas which is uncomfortable, especially on the plane, but it's bearable. The cramping is also bad news, but what can you expect? The hotel was also very nice. Everyone was very helpful and sweet...the shuttle service was managed fairly well. The OCC chicken broth isn't so good Most people seem to have great luck with the chewable papaya enzyme, but I'm sticking to the chewable Gas X. I don't seem to have lost weight since I've been on this liquid diet (4 days). I'm sure my progress will show soon. I have a blog if anyone wants to keep up with me I'll be updating that today on the site. I'm so excited for the future
  7. If anyone that has been to OCC and has spoken to a Dr. about Plication vs. VSG, or Plication vs. Lapband, I would love to hear about it!
  8. Hey! I'm having Gastric Plication surgery on the 11th, but arriving on the 10th and leaving on the 14th. Are any of you going to be there during this time? I would love to connect beforehand I'm pretty nervous and it would be great to share some feelings about the surgery/keep in touch during the weight loss process. Support is awesome, especially if someone is going through the same thing.
  9. Hi Donna! I will keep watch for your postings How are you doing with your pre-op weight loss? That's a big struggle for me. Thanks and Good luck!
