  1. 6 weeks post plication and have been experiencing heartburn throughout the day. Anyone else suffering from this and find anything to help besides taking a pill? SD
  2. Your calorie intake may not be high enough yet. When your calorie intake is very low your body goes into starvation/ life saving mode. Decreasing your metabolism and saving fat to save your life. I did not lose any weight for about 10 days post op and calorie intake was about 400-600. Once I got it up about 800 I started dropping weight. Remember this is a long time fix not a short time fix. SD
  3. I had plication March 2nd and am down about 14 lbs since surgery, but about 8 of this came from the liquid stage of the post op diet. I am getting in food 5 or 6 times a day and have been logging it, but am only getting in about 700 calories on avg. I have read everything here and elsewhere that I should try and get my calories up to about 1000 per day, but not finding this easy. Has anyone tried to use worthless calories (lemonade, hard candy, etc) to boost your daily intake with sucess? SD
  4. Creamy soups when mixed with water don't work for you? Try the Isopure from GNC. Not cheap, but will help you keep your Protein level up and it is not dairy based. Good luck. SD
  5. What is your caloric intake per day? 1000ish You eating several times a day? I am 3 weeks post op and trying to get calories up. Around 500-600 now. Weight is trickling off, but energy level low. SD
  6. Can something like Stuffing or soft bread be added with Soft Foods 3 weeks Post Plication? SD
  7. I had plication on March 3rd around 11AM and as of 8PM Saturday I am still having very severe stomach cramps. Is this normal? Did anyone else have these this long? I am able to get water and a little popsicle down, with some nausea. But the cramps have not let up except when on drugs from OCC. SD
  8. I was leaning towards the Band, but after reading more about Plication I am leaning toward it now. What are the Pros and Cons of Each? Thanks, SD
  9. Thanks for the input. We are about 60 minutes to a FillUSA Center, but I have read good and bad about having fills there. Not opposed to going to see OCC once a year, but more than that would probably be too costly. My BMI is 35. I have looked, but can't seem to find a guideline for which bariatric surgery is best for differnt BMIs. Of course not too many in states doing GSP so can't find a lot of info. SD
