  1. Those of you that have had PLICATION surgery, how have your results been? has the weight loss been as fast as you would have liked? do your regret it? do you wish you would have chosen the band instead? i dont know which one to go with?

  2. how are you doing? hope things are going well!

  3. Just checking in to see how you are doing? Haven't seen you on here in the last few weeks. Hope you are doing ok.

  4. I haven't had my surgery yet, i plan to in the first part of next year. but now i'm reconsidering because i keep reading about people having problems with their bands after a few years and the Plication hasn't impressed me with the results i have seen. My question is how many bandsters on here have had problems with their bands after 4-5 yrs or more? Is it maybe due to them having a certain brand of band that isn't being used anymore?
  5. Hello... Thank you for checking in on me. I have to be honest... today for the first time since my surgery I am scared. I have this fear that I am going to mess up my band. After my liquid phase which I completed successfully without difficulty, I feel no restriction. So I find myself eating like before. Today...I feel something I could barely describe as pain. I'm scared I messed something...

  6. how's it going? Cuirous to see how you are feeling and how your induction of solids went....Hope all is well.

  7. I don't know how close you are to Ohio ( its takes me about 6 hrs to drive to Virginia), but i know that the Barix clinic in Groveport Ohio ( Columbus area) will do fills on people that were banded in Mexico fairly reasonable too. So you might give them a call. Water is very important to your success and Exercise. Even if you just go out for a brisk 1/2 hour walk it would be a start. Good luck! Jami
  8. Good Luck Tomorrow!

  9. I am feeling very frustrated! November feels like it will never be here. When it is here I will just then be able to schedule my surgery, so i'll have to wait even longer. did anyone else experience having to wait and if so how did you stay patient?

I had some issues too first with making up my mind for good, then with money. I made the decision in October of 2010, and didn't get banded until April of 2011. So although the time passed pretty slowly for me, April did come, and the few months didn't make that much of a difference. I know that it can be exciting :), but imagine how much more exciting its going to be once you get the band?? Now I'm in the waiting period to LOSE WEIGHT! LOL.

Thanks Guys! Patience is key! My summers are pretty busy, so i'm hoping that will help pass the time away, as it usually flys by. I hope you both are doing well and getting the results you want. Kepp me posted on how your doing?

Mariam which surgery did you have? I'm leaning towards the lapband, I'm not comfortable with the results i'm seeing with the Plication yet. :)

I got the band, and I'm exactly 3 weeks out. I can start eating tomorrow! :) I'm not convinced with the Plication yet, and to be completely honest, the band sounds the safest and the most effective for me.

  10. Thinking of you today. Hope you are doing ok. :)

  11. I really wish November was here so i could have my surgery. Thats when i will finally have all the $$$$. I really hope this is going to be worth it.

I really haven't made up my mind yet between the Band and the Plication. I'm still researching the long term results. Any suggestions?

  12. hi there, I finally responded, I'm very happy with my band, some people like the plication cause they don't have to deal with the fils, it is a pain, especially for the first few months. But I like that it can be removed. I guesss maybe plication can to?? I don't know. my surgery was 9/27/10 I started at 298 lbs and I've lost 48 lbs. Never lost weight ever. I eat healthy and I...
