I had surgery in Mexico by Dr. Ortiiz in December 2011. I initially weighed 270 pounds and am now 193, which is a 77 pound weight loss so far. I am convinced I would be lower if I exercised...
The only problems I've had is heartburn if I don't take an OTC (Omneprazole) each morning. So I take it each morning and have no heartburn. That seems a small price to pay. :-) One disheartening problem is pain in my abdomen (intestines maybe) after eating sometimes. I haven't been able to associate it with a certain type of food but it happens frequently. It ends up going away and I wonder if it's gas? I do tend to have very audible noises coming from my abdomen after eating which can be quite embarasssing at work.
Other than that, the only issues I now have is excess skin and have no idea what to do about that. I guess that exercise might help some but I don't think it's going to get rid of all of it. The fat on my upper thighs down to my knees is gross and keeps me from wearing a bathing suit or shorts.
I am very happy that I had this surgery as I feel like a new woman and, most of it, is alll positive.
Any suggestions for my mentioned problems would be nice and I hope to hear from others.
