Hi everybody, just a few questions on follow up care with Dr. Ortiz. Seems how he is in Mexico and i am not will i recieve the follow up care that i need? Could someone please share their experiences with this. Thanks

Hi. I am getting the lap band in Jan. I have about 1 million questions so I will start with just a few. How hard is it to adjust to the new way of eating? What happens if you drink alcohol? Does food ever get stuck and not come out or get through? I am phobic and the idea of something getting stuck in my throat really freaks me out. What I really want to know is if the hard times pay off in the end. I see alot of positive things but no negative comments. I know it can't have gone perfectly for everyone. Trust me, I am not searching for bad news I am just interested in the whole picture. I really want to know all there is to know before I get there. Thanks for any help you may have! Happy Holidays!

Hi Everyone i am new here with just a few questions. I am having sugery on Jan. 10 with Dr. Ortiz. How hard is the liquids only stage? What am i really in for? Is it terrible or just inconvienient? I must admit i am very nervous. My family doesn't really like the idea of Mexico, but i feel i have done my research and Dr. Ortiz is very highly recommended. Can anyone offer any words of wisdom? I would like a little insight on what to expect the first few days after surgery to be like. Any response would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Scared in Boise
