From what I have read, Phayzime is for gas pain after the surgery. They inflate your stomach with gas to perform the surgery and afterwards most people have gas pain from the extra gas trying to escape the body. The suggested medicine is either Gas-X or Phayzime to help with the gas.

Hope this helps.

Yeah I know. I'm scheduled for next Thursday the 19th and have so much running around in my head. The things I have taken away as far as preparing goes are:

1. pack light

2. bring gas x or phayzime

3. bring lots of $1's and $5's

4. bring comfy clothes for after surgery

5. bring boullion cubes to the hotel

I'm sure there is more but these are the things that really stuck out to me!

Ooh - those are great tips! I've been focusing on what to eat during the liquid stages - obsessed with the food of course  I also bought liquid tylenol and chewable vitamins. Not sure when I can use the vitamins though...

Thanks for the tips! I can't wait to hear how your surgery goes!
