Anyone else receive email to watch Emmi video pre-op?

I am being banded three weeks from today!!!!!!!

Well, the other day I received an email supposedly from my health care provider to watch an online video about what to expect. It doesn't specify Dr. Ortiz or the O.C.C.

Is this standard procedure? I don't recall anyone else mentioning this.

Anyone else receive this?

No I got nothing like this. I would call or email the OCC (if that's where you are having surgery) and ask them .

I didn't get banded at OCC, rather the Mayo Clinic. With that said, my provider sent me the same link. It may be a new process for OCC? I appreciated it because it was a great link that I was able to share with my friends and family. It explains how the band works and eased some concerns on the part of my husband.

I was banded in the Houston area and did receive the Emmy video's to watch on my computer. They were very helpful and also helpful for my family members to understand the procedure. I'm not sure if the OCC provides them though.

When i was researching several Drs sent me the link for this video. The OCC did not but its good to watch.
