Bowierocksme Posted November 5, 2008 Report Share Posted November 5, 2008 Hi there, A fill is what you need once you have healed from having the band put in to your body.....it is place with no saline in the silicone ring so that your body can heal. At around 6 weeks post op you go and get an injection of saline to tighten the band around your stomach so that you have more restriction. This helps to give you the feeling of being full after eating a small portion of food. You will probably need a few fills over your weight loss journey to keep that feeling as your body gets smaller.
