I have a condition called Gastroparesis and I am looking in to Lap Band Surgery possibly in the Month of April or May When I can see the Specialist for Lap Band Surgery - Can someone who has Gastroparesis have the Lap Band Surgery? 2. Is there anyone who had Gastroparesis before their Lap Band Surgery that can give me some answers? skinnyagain Posted February 6, 2009 Report Share Posted February 6, 2009 I don't THINK so.. When you have the band they don't want ANY if all vomiting. And as you know with gastro you do that...They worry about slippage of the band. I would be doubtfull, but who knows that answer that is left for a consult with a MD.
