I drink a glass of wine every day, 1 day post OP? havent had any thing strange happen. I am a firm beiliever in one glass of red wine is healthy? so even if i dont want it ? I will still take an our or two and sip it down

hahah i thought you were the one who was always sleeping! must of nodded off at different times. I left the clinic at 9pm back to the hotel and then off to the airport in the morning.Flight was terrible. I had and still do have the worst pain in my shoulder. The port area is starting to feel allot better. Im sure we wont see any great losses until the 3rd,4th,-6th week and not allot then. Once we get our first fill ???? that will be where you are going to loose the weight fastest. Hay maybe see you in TJ. Let me know when you plan to go! colleen

your still on the liquids phase. I was banded on the 2nd? we must have met in the office, i was getting my blood work done etc ( low BMI Canadian) I only just noticed today a 4 pound drop. dont think we r suppose to loose to much until the 3rd week, proper meals will help our bodies stop collecting calories while in liquid mode. we r storing fat because our bodies think we r starving. colleen

I asked the same question. I was 5'2" 153 lb and 147lb when I actually went in for surgery! that was last week. My body fat percentage was 38% and my bmi was 28! I was getting some strange looks from some of the other patients waitng to get their surgery ... but when we all chatted together they saw that just because you are not obese doesnt mean that we arent struggling with the same issues. I have been on a constant diet for 21 years? perhaps I have won most of my battles duen to being a hard nosed dieter, but it isnt what I want to do for the rest of my life.

Hi 2muchane , Just had my band done on the 1st of July. Speaking with Dr. Ortiz before surgery like all of us.... He strongly suggested that you try to get your band filled in TJ at his clinic. He said that of any complications with his band over the years ? it has been due to others doing the fills. I am definetly going to go to TJ in mid August to get them to do the fills. Like Dr. Ortiz said" ( AS per other fill centres ) " Get your fills here!!! first 52 complications FREE!

Hey all, I am booked to have surgery on the 26th of June. Does anyone know of where I can get my fills in BC? greatly appreciate your help colleen
