I have a quick question. I am trying to schedule a fill and have not been back to Mexico since my surgery. Do I need a passport or birth certificate. Need this info ASAP.
Shannon
Hi Shannon! I just went to Mexico last year and I NEEDED a Passport!

I found out that my insurance will not cover the surgery!! And I don't have the extra money to just pay for it. (
What else can I do? Does anyone know if there is anything else I can do? This really upsets me so bad! I'm sick of being fat!!
I'm going to tell you this on a whim.. but have you considered looking into participating in a "study"? Look around.. there is a drug company called allergan that is conducting a study on people with a BMI of 30-40 to see if the lap band will be as effective as in persons with a BMI 40+. Do some research, I know they're out there because my husband and I are part of one! Good luck to you!

Hi K
The pre-op diet helped and now 6 days on liquid (easy you are Not hungry after surgery). Good Luck with your surgery and I'm sure you will do great! I know if I can do it anyone can....I loved food
Thanks for the pep-talk Rita!! It helps to have others around you to support the process! I am actually going through this along with my husband. He is scheduled for Feb. 5. We think the team work will help alot. I am concerned about the gas pains after surgery. Did you have any issues with that?

I was just banded this week by Dr. Ortiz in TJ. It was a good experience. Everyone was excelllent and everything ran like clockwork. I am a little sore yet but I am looking forward to my new weight loss journey.
Hi Rita I'm new here and you are the first person I have relpied to. I noticed our starting weights are the same and I am scheduled to be banded on Jan 29. Good loss for you so far!!!! Lets hope I'm as lucky!!!

Hi I have posted this before, but will do again if it can help. Look into a "study" . I am a participant in one as we speak through a company called allergan. they are researching the effectiveness of the band on people with BMI of 30-40. The whole process is free. look into it in your area! good luck
