  1. So how is everyone? I have only seen a few posts from you all. How is the weight loss coming? Mine is real slow and I can eat everything with out any problem, YIKES!, can't wait for my fill. Don't forget we need to get together either on Fri, 5/16/08 or Sat 5/17/08. I am sure we can find some kind of trouble to get into...bring a bathing suit. We may need it if we all cram into a taxi and go to the beach or stay by the pool. I'd rather see some hotties on the beach. Ya'll all know I am married. my Hubby, Darryl, was with me. ( He's a real Sweetie) But I still like to look =D>

Let's see how everyone is doing, give me some kind of idea that you all haven't all shriveled up and blown away

Andrea has no restriction and can eat anything and everything. She is looking forward to her fill on May 30th. Hang in there.

  2. Boy how time flies!

I had my first fill 3 weeks ago, and an unfill 5 days later. Boy let me tell you this is certainly an experience!! I've experienced the 'slimming' and vomit on more than a few occassions. This certainly is a process.

Anyway - I LOVE the ladies at the Arlington Pharmacy (in WA State)!! They are so kind and understanding.

My band size is the 4/9.5 or something like that. Which I guess means I can be filled up to 4ccs. They filled me with 1.6ccs. About 5 days later I realized I wasn't really eating anything, so they did an unfil - .6ccs. Now I'm good. I don't usually ever feel hungry, so I need to remind myself to eat and since the fill I'm loosing about 3lbs a week. I'm so happy!

This is a great new start for me, and I'm loving it so much. I cry sometimes because I'm so happy. While I still have about 50lbs to go, I know now that it's possible - and it's really happening. I'm looking forward to summer this year for the first time in so long!

    Good Luck to us all!!

    Much Peace,

    Maggie

Did you have the fluro with your fill?

  3. Mexican Zebras.........where are we going to pack that????.....give me a few margaritas and I will bring one right to the door! Can't wait to see ya!

Andrea's fill is scheduled for May 30th. Were going to go the special also, and her school will let her go to Mexico with me. So only need to buy one air ticket this time. Glad all of you are doing so good. Andrea is too. Sticking with it real good.

  4. Hey Lynn! I am getting tightness on and off in my chest, or esophagus i guess. however u spell that. I get pretty hungry when i go to bed at night, my stomach growls, but the thought of eating food sounds gross, so does the thought of drinking any more water. But during the day i feel good. But yeah definately no unbarable or scary pain, just expected soreness from surgery. Are you excited to get to the soup stage? i am, i want to have the cambell select golden butternut squash soup. sounds yummy! i love squash ttys!

  5. ><' How's everyone feeling?, I am doing just fine, was a bit tired when we finally got home. I feel like you are all my forever friends, we've got to stay in touch. I want to know all your ups and downs and any brick walls you hit! Maybe next year we can get together! Looking forward to hearing from you all

We made it home fine too! Miss you all. Glad your doing well. Andrea is a little tired today also, but is sticking with it. She has lost 7 lbs. since surgery.

  6. Hey Andrea,

sorry it took forever for me to reply!

    now to answer your question,

the first month I lost about 35 lbs, 15 of that was in the first week!

the second month I slowed down probly 10 lbs, and once that happends thats when its time for a fill

after that I continued to lose all the weight I needed

    and here I am today!

and about jogging and stuff, I walked an hour after surgury all around the hospital, and the next day I walked all over mexico shopping, so jogging i would say maybe two weeks after your surgury to be safe, double check with the Drs to be sure

    Thanks

    good luck

    Cassie

Wow! That's amazing. I'm a senior in high school and we have a small class of 21 students so we are going to san diego for our senior trip at the end of may. I would love to loose 20-30 pounds before the trip. My surgery is April 7th, i think i might have said that already. I thought i would loose 15 pounds in the first month, but now, maybe more! Everyone is probably a little different. Thanks

  7. Hey my Hey my name is Andrea. I just turned 18 at the end of January and my surgery date is April 7th, spring break. Since hearing about the surgery on Opera and discovering it was an option finacially, my attitude has been so much better. Before with diets i always saw failure in the end and now i feel really confident. I'm finally going to be liberated from my caccoon i have formed from being overweight. So i am excited about that, but at the same time soooo nervous! I dont want any complications that could postpone my banding or weight-loss. But i do have a question for you Cassie, how much weight did you lose, if any, one month after your surgery? and then the second month? And how long after surgery do you think i will be able to start jogging again? Thanks for being a support
