  1. ><' I just want to say thank you to everyone for responding to my post.

You all are right when you remind me that i have been at this weight for a very long time

and that it won't just "fall" off.

I do need to up my exercise and really pay attention to my food intake. More protiens ect.

Thanks for being here for me. I was so happy to see that today i had so many helpful replies.

It means so much to me.

    Love,

  2. :(( I was banded on April 8 and had my first fill of 2cc's on 5.19.08.

I haven't lost ANY weight. I weigh the same i did as on my surgery day.

Before I had the band I would eat alot. late night snacks, cookies you name it.

Now, i am not eating anywhere near what i did before and i am not losing.

I feel so depressed because i see people losing so much weight on the

    forum and i am not.

did i just waste $8,000 for NOTHING??????

how can this be happening to me?

Yesterday I ate 1 light yoplait, 1/2 turkey sandwich (on the small sized bread)

a boston market frozen meal (290 Cal.) and some almonds

What's up!!!! that can only be at the absolute most 1000-1100 calories.

did any one else go through this, only to lose later???

    Give me hope.

  3. Yes they will. I had 3 LITTLE earings in my ears that had been in for

like 12 years. I had to take them out and then they were accidentialy thrown away.

It has something to do with if they have to shock you on the table

    it can coduct the electricty.

At least that is what they told me when i had my c-section

and i had to take out my "downstairs" piercing.

Don't worry, taking it out for a few hours won't do anything.

just lube it up w/ neosporin when you take it out and put it back in.

  4. I say give your husband a Valium and a cocktail and get him on the plane.

That is whats best for you at this point. That is too long of a drive to do after this

procedure (my opinion), and this is your journey. Maybe he would be

o.k if your/ his mom went w/ you.

    just a thought

  5. Thank you for all the posts.

to answer an earlier qusetion, i did follow/ am following the post-op diet.

I did start eating some solids around day 17, but i feel they were good choices.

I do realize that that is better than GAINING 5lbs., which believe me, i could have

EASILY done. i guess i just thought i would really be able to tell (feel it) ya know?

when does the weight loss really start to occur?

  6. :lb6: Hi everyone,

Iwas banded on April 8th and since then I have only lost about 5 pounds.

i have to be honest and say that i didn't follow the pre-op diet and lost no weight before the procedure.

since being banded, i have been soooooo good. no late night eating, no binges. lean cusine for lunch and dinner, exercise, but

i'm not losing like i thought i would.

my 1st fill is scheduled for may 19th.

    does it get better?

    will i lose?

    I feel really depressed.

  7. Hi.

On my earlier post about bloating someone had suggested that Dr. Ortiz

had said to keep moving and take pain meds.

I only received a packet of 4 that were gone before I left Tijuana.

He should at least give us a prescription for more.

Thank god my husband had some left from his wisdom tooth removal!!!

    OUCH!
