  1. Hi Band Family,

I was wondering if anyone can descibe how you know if the band is too tight?

I have trouble eating more than a couple of bites at a time without PBing. I'm not sure if this is a problem or not because I am guessing it is temporary. My second fill was a week ago. Popsicles have become my new best friend.

Anyway, this situation may be just right and it is just new to me.

As always, thanks for sharing your experiences.

  2. Hi band family,

Have any of you gained weight since banding? This is the first time for me. I gained 3 pounds this week. #-o

I guess I just didn't want to believe that I might gain back my weight. I was finally down 25lbs and now I'm heading back up? My first fill is June 7th but from what I have been reading, that won't help me anyway. Hopefully it is the gain before a period or something normal like that.

If anyone has experienced this, could you let me know?

    Thanks.

  3. My name is Wendy. I am a 47 yr old single mom of 4, ages 25, 23, 22, and 17.99. My youngest turns 18 this month.

I was born and raised in upstate NY. I've been in California for 26 years. My oldest daughter is married and I have 2 grandsons. My son graduated college last June and my middle daughter will finish college in January. My youngest daughter will graduate high school in June.

I was thin until age 30, but of course I didn't always know that. My ex-husband loved to remind me, "If you ever get fat, I'll divorce you." After having my last baby, I weighed 120lb. That was unacceptable and so the yo-yo dieting began. Needless to say, I always gained back more than I lost. Well, with the exception of March 1999 when I lost 200lbs by kicking that man out of my house! =D> Since then, I raised my kids, got a college degree, and a county job.

This summer, we will be moving to North Carolina. I am looking forward to being near my extended family again and a simpler, less expensive life.

  4. I'm laughing remembering my pop-tart, cereal, ice cream, peanut butter and jelly night!!

Don't worry Jacqui - 3 cookies won't matter. I got back on track and you will too. Try not to think about losing 10lbs, but only about 3 pounds, then you can continue from there.

We are here with you and believe in you. Not too long from now you'll be telling someone else not to worry.

  5. Finished surgery about 2 hours ago. I have been walking ever since getting back to my room. Soon I will need a nap!!

I'll be more coherent later. Just wanted to say all is well.

By the way...I still lost a pound while quitting smoking. Whoever heard of that!! I want Dr Miranda's scale at home. Love to all...thanks for being supportive.
