Surgery went great yesterday, there were 7 of us.What a great bunch of people.I had no problems with any of the trip, all went very smooth.Mrs. Ortiz picked us at the Hotel what a lovely lady. She is a great asset to her son's bussiness.The staff at the centre are better than any hospitals I have been to.When sitting in the waiting room we met and were able to speak to several banders waiting for a fill.

Everthing I read about Dr. Ortiz is true, bedside manour and handsome.

Hi ALL

Thanks for all the information,I feel that I am well informed now.I leave tonight to the airport then fly out Sunday for surgery Monday.I have one last questions, How did the flying go after surgery?I have to change planes as the direct flights from Ontario are 1800 each so I have 1 transfer.I am a little concerned for the trip home.It will be a very long day, almost 12 hours from start to finish.We will stay in a hotel that night before our 6 hour drive from the airport.Is there a computer in the hospital to use?I will post to let you know how it went.

Some people like the Gas X strips

but others seem to prefer the small pill Phazyme which I assume is what you are thinking of

Will we ba able to swallow the Phazyme pill after the surgery?

I am getting surgery on Monday,I have posted a few times with no response.Glad to see that someone will be joining me.I plan to bring some juice boxes and instant broth as I don't want to run to the restaurant everytime I want a drink.Will see you both on Sunday.

I am booked an now am reading lots on this site to learn any tricks from bandsters that may help.I must say that I have learned lots and the best thing is the care and support to fellow bandsters.

I am looking forward to meeting the others that are being banded the same day as me.

Wow all this information is great for those of us that will be going through this in awhile.So what happens if you drink while you are eating, I too will find this hard.We use to be told drink lots to fill up and then you eat less.

How many people do they do in one day? I can't be the only one.......I would like to meet someone to share this with before and after.

Hi I am Linda from Northern Ontario.I will be having my surgery on April 14th at OCC in Mexico.

I am scheduled for the 14th only one week away.I am getting very nervous about the after surgery.I have been reading lots of posts and at times wish that I didn't.I know that things go wrong but it just makes me a little uneasy.

So who will be there with me?
