Hi Deb,

It's not really a bump, it's more the size of an egg. I can feel the port which is a hard area, but the swelling part is the part he said was a fluid sack. It really does not hurt at all. I know some people say when your port flips that it is very painful, but I had no pain. The way I found out it was flipped forsure was by having an x-ray done. Has to be a lateral KUB view to see it.

Can I ask you do you have a bump where the port is? Does it hurt? What did Dr.Martinez ask you to figure out that it was flipped?

I was also banded on 4/18 and I have lost only 3 lbs since surgery, and boy the burping just doesnt stop, and yes I feel swollen and bruised, it will be week 2 on Friday I hope everything gets back to normal soon. Looking forward to week 3!!!!! Yes I think we are in starvation mode.

This may sound funny but when I went to the movies my sister bought popcorn I sucked on a piece then spit it out, I sucked on a piece of licorice and spit it out, then to top it off I licked on a french fry and then threw it out. As long as I get the taste for now...it gets me by.

I really have learned alot from your posts, I was able to add my weight chart from tickler but now how do I change my weight as it goes down?

I was just banded on 4/18, and I guess what you have to ask yourself are you really ready to lose that weight? Start out with determination... and then remember you will eat your favorite foods again, just not as much, we will never be deprived we will just eat less of what we love and that is how the band is supposed to work. It will all be worth it. Debbie

It still looks like I have an alien baby bump, but the brusing is getting better. I have not been back to OCC since the surgery. I am still in San Diego at my sisters house until Thursday morning. I was just hoping to talk to the other person who had the hematoma like I do.

How do I get the ticker factory on my profile?
