HI All, I had the lapband surgery 3 yrs ago and have only lost about 27 lbs and haven't lost any further. I have a 4 CC band and have 3.5 fill... Nothing lost in the past yr. Any sugegstions..I think i need a fill.. ( Thanks. Bernice

HI Ute, Congrats to you on your great weight loss. I see you have a 4cc band as well. I was just writing to ask anyone if they had the same size.. Do you know what some people get a 10cc band and then some get this smaller band? I have the 4cc and had my first fill in June of this yr. I had surgery by Dr.Ortiz & Dr. Martinez and they were wonderful.. ))) Anyways the first fill was 1.5cc Then the second I just had last Tuesday was .5, yet I'm thinking I could have had a bit more as I'd like to feel more restriction as I seem to be eating the same amount.. Could I have a stretched pouch and if so what can be done about that. I guess that'd put me at 2cc. How are you feeling with your fill now and are you done with fills since it's only a 4 cc band? Hi All, I was banded April 10th/08 by Dr. Ortiz and have been on a big plateau for gosh, 2 months or more now.. I had my first fill in June with Dr. So and went down 6 lbs which was great and then everything just slowed right now. I seem to be eating the same amount now as prior to the first fill. I have now had my second fill last tuesday and had .5 cc put in and I think I could have had more, however from my medical records from OCC say I have a 4CC band. Does anyone else ahve a 4 cc band and why such a small band? If I get a fill to lets say 3 cc, that will almost shut the tap off sorta speak won't it..lol.. anyone have any thoughts I'd love to hear from you. How dos one know if they've stretched their pouch... god forbid!! Thanks All, BGP

Hello All, I just got back from my first fill and the experience was fantastic! No pain at all and it was so cool to see how the liquid goes down. I got a fill of 1.5cc's and felt good restriction with that.. When we arrived back in Canada late last night, I was beat from the extreme heat they were having down in San Diego. We spent 3 days there and had a great time. When I weighed in this morning, I was down another 5 lbs with a total of 22 lbs since surgery April 10th. I got a good sun burn too, YEOWCH!! Something us northerns hate..lol.. I love going to OCC as the staff and everyone involved are so friendly and accommodating.. we were over an hour late too.. We're not used to so many roads and options here in Saskatchewan..LOL..hence we got lost.. shesh...lol.. We did make it finally and all went well... Enjoy your summer all! Bernice
