  1. Hi All

Well I've just had fill #3 as the last 2 weeks have

    been brutal.

I could eat anything, bread, steak, 3 cups of salad at a time and have been in bandster he!! with hunger.

Worst of all I gained 2lbs back. argh!!

I have a total of 3cc now and my Dr said if there is no improvement in 2-3 weeks will will investigate if my pouch has stretched.

I love my Dr, but I wish they did fills with Flouro.

I can tell there is a little more restriction so lets see what the next few weeks will bring.

  2. I had my 3rd fill in the office 6-6-08 by Dr Acosta. I relayed to him my frustrations of having 2 fills and very small restriction. I have a vg 10cc I went from 6.5 to 8.5. I have major restriction, is it that I just need to learn how to eat all over again? I cant eat in the morning. I have to drink something warm in morning, before I eat lunch. Sometimes it feels It gets stuck and it can hurt. I think it is just me needing to adapt to the restriction. But I have had a small headache for the past 3 days, I think it's from not being able to eat alot like I use too. I just want to make sure nothing is wrong. I can drink as long as I have not eaten prior. I probably am just worried over nothing. I can eat but meat is a little difficult, is it that I do need to chew chew chew?? Thanks so much Pebbles

  3. Ok... this is a test area. We are still trying to figure out how to best use it :)

Dolittle and I will review questions and submit them to Dr. Ortiz and Dr. Martinez and the answer to chosen questions - the ones of benefit to the most bandsters - will be posted here.

Specific questions about a problem you are having with your band or any immediate need question should be called it directly to our office at 1-866-376-7849 ext. 5 for after-care/fill doctors, ext 3 for Dr. Martinez or ext. 4 for Dr. Ortiz.

    Thank you!

  4. There's been a lot of interest from Forum members concerning aggressive fills. The big question is,, what makes an aggressive fill differ from a regular fill? And the answer is,, not much. An agressive fill is a regular fill with maybe 1 more tenth of a cc added to your regular fill. You say,, one tenth of a cc isn't that much,, but when you have reached a sweet spot,, one more tenth could turn that sweet spot to a hell spot. You have to be so careful with an aggressive fill and be constantly aware you can cause a band slip. If you have a fill and you can't sleep at night because your choking on your own spit or you have to sleep propped up with pillows,, YOUR TO TIGHT! So,, don't think an aggressive fill is the answer,, its one of those things,, some people can get away with it and alot won't. WARNING!! This is not recommended by me or anyone on the OCC staff. Aggressive fills is like playing with FIRE!
  5. I had surgery January 11th, just got my 3rd fill, finally I have restriction. Had my fill Friday, 6-6-08. Is it normal to eat and it feels it is stuck or it will hurt a bit? I can drink and eat, but in the morning I have a hard time eating. I pretty much eat a very very small amount and it bothers me. Is this normal? I have a vg band that holds 10cc and I am at 8.5 cc. Will i get use to it?

    Any help would be appreciated.
